the bug with being unable to send mail while in safe zone wont be fixed with this maintenance?
We are still waiting for fixes for these bugs. For the mail issue, you can teleport to Fantasy Isle or Monster Race Track for free and send/claim mail there.
It would have been nice if you left the current event running since your not introducing anything to replace it.
Do fans of L2 really deserve this and secondly to prove my point you seem to consistently update the store updates every single time. It would have been nice if you treated events with the same rhythm you do with store updates and BULL*** Spin Wheel.

Actually, that fix has been in-game since early September. They changed the passive skill for when you equip the shirt. I did testing for it and saw that the damage reflect resistance was working after we received that patch. I will check on the belt as well.
on the last update Nc mentioned Sigel knight ( Hellknights ) Pre awakening Skill Reflect dmg ( duration 20 minutes) buff would be replaced with the 4th classed Reflect dmg.
yet They still have this skill and so these Hellknight tanks have huge boost on top of everyone else who was not an Hellknight !

also you should check on the bug that 3rd party program users have scripts to make opponent lag/ disconnect.
i stopped careing if people 24/7 but now i cant even fight most of them due to the ohh theres sweetdreamz the enemy. lets send him a package of corrupted files so his Game client crushes ..
Legit players cant most n likely join Mass pvp cuz it be like umm there they are .. 5 seconds later .. lag lag lag lag randomly clicking buttons ... lag lag ohhhh disconnect. and no its not about my Pc . all normal players have this.

a huge number of bugs that ppl find in the game is for laughts they dont exist.
rember when diabo 3 came millions of ppl went to buy the game,what they get a 12yrs old game with ZERO FUN AND A TONS OF BUGS THAT THEY FIXED AFTER MONTHS.

I am a Fan of L2 and i really love the game, but it hink you are right, since even in private servers i saw more events and more care about the game than in the official site. my intensions arent bad, i just wish the game could become better and better every day. Worst problem its server population, prehaps making another server and free transfer from naia and chronos could balance the server population, thats a fixin idea, but making transfers unabaiavle would only make creation of toons to spam
Juji or Sace, if possible, give us details about the old topic, about the excessive lag on the server Shilen, (as also noted the lag on Server Bartz and others) these days ago.
In fact, the maintenance on the servers, came last week, there was a certain improvement in gameplay, however, is well yesterday unplayable, and the same annoying lag of 2-3 seconds. Is there any news or progress for this hotfix?
1) Not game changing.
2) Something people would buy
3) Its not something that buying thousand dollars would help you more then 50->100.
4) Its good enough that you might get 50 from everyone who is competitive.

I think this "Discount" idea is a good one what the NCwest nowadays started to use.
I offer to the NCwest team, that follow how the Steam manage these digital sales.
I think NCwest if will continue this Discount idea and expand it with new ideas will gives really good L2 store deals to the players.

1st, you posted "for your friend" in the wrong place... 2nd, the link goes to "Top Technical Issues" to help filter out a majority of similar issues... 3rd, I read your post and it was obvious you had no clue what to post where/when/why so this info will likely be of future benefit to you and others... 4th, your "friends" issue doesn't really belong here or any other thread had you been to the FAQ link in the first place you wouldn't have wasted your time in this thread.

Juji or Sace plz check drop memory fragments at Prison of darkness. Not sure about this, but had information that there is problem with drop of them.
I'll look into it.
UPDATE: I just checked this and was able to pick up Memory Fragments. I also witnessed other people on the server picking them up as well.

Just tested this and Energy of Destruction are dropping normally.

for god sake, just think about it, olympiad, sieges, tax campaings, coc... you're simply disrupting the entire competitive side of the game, are you sure you prefer to wait till next maintenance to fix it?
The server time was changed on Chronos to GMT+0. It will be changed back to GMT-2 again during next week's maintenance.

Guys you don't get the point. This update is "Goddess of Destruction" meaning to all. It's no new news now as the title of the update is so bright i'm sure you can get the meaning of it. Destruction to everything apart from Nstore.
I love the game, i can have patience with some problems as I worked as an analyst for over 10 years but i have never seen anything like L2 in terms of low tech fixes. amazing

when i try to log in my tanks account(the one account i did migrate) i get a system error after it trys to log in for about a minute. I cant log into the master account others are shouting they cant get in their accounts either...:(

how will a trace route be useful if it is lag based on the actual server network ?

Lag is no doubt related to a server load, both Chronos and Naia become laggy when the traffic goes high. And the lag keeps getting worse as more people log in the peak hours. I took a stroll on Hellbound island, there are bot parties literally everywhere, hundreds of them. Include MoS, Giants Cave, Orbis, Harnak, EG and other popular bot locations and these numbers go over a thousand. Without this filth clogging the servers we'd almost never have Heavy traffic, reducing this lag to minimum.
Yes, about 800-1000 bots are run around on the Naia server everyday and keep farm on the same locations. And about 500 players online with their different pvp cheat programs.
So, the GMs could easily solve this issue if at least they would ban the farmer bots.
If in peak hours the server population would around 4000-5000 this would be the normal.
Or maximum just achieve the close to full status at Castle Siege times.
I'm sure, that the best gift from the NCwest to the players to Christmas, if they would make a huge ban hammer what after they would repeat in every months.
Also, the fact, that these bot users/farmer are here, makes additional lags, while they in 24/7 kill the mobs also they can result PC lags too for some players when they spam their skills.
The only thing what can solve this situation if the NCwest will start to fight against the cheaters.
If this happen, than on the place of this 1000 slots will appear 1000 new customer who pay for the NCwest actively.

Anyway, I could read one of the best arguments here, but also gave me courage to start my argument.
And start asking: What players from servers Chronos and Naia have done to save their respective servers in a massive crash? or think that closing the servers for transfer of players will improve on something?
Indeed known that Chronos and Naia is super populous legitimate and loyal players, but is also populated of bots, but I do not think that there are record holders to submit their respective "bad users".
Or expect that their own game masters do something miraculous for you loyal players?
I'm not a player any of the two servers mentioned above, but me really laugh, reading other threads about lag, bots, etc ... for both beginners and veterans, crying like a river, a sea, or an ocean on the excessive lag. (Maybe some white-haired veteran can really tell me if this season of year-end, it is common to excessive lag?)
Now the personal side, I do not have any courage to submit a ticket reporting a "bad user" (as I know many people who would not do the same) because for me, is something old fashioned (read would be like a bull of a drug, nobody reads anyway/nobody reports).
Now the saddest part of all is the fact that the Game Masters are not friendly, but also interactive with the huge community of players gathered here on the forum actually living clandestinely and communicating through "tickets".

Yeah Sace and Juji and MAX, we want awnser for that.
Yesterday I could not play with my character in daily and instances.
Then I went to leveling my subclasses, GC was remembered in a good area for lvl 78 + melee. When I went, I found the lower GC site with an amazing amount of bots. In desperation I went to do the daily Sillent Valley, where I found the same situation.
Naia is full of people, but if you ban the bots and their owners, much improved for other legal players.
P.D.: Other solution its nerfed summoners, have 2 pets get only 1. I dont forget stupid updates.

He and his crew banned my 5 year old Iss account while I dediced to xp waiting for Anais to spawn at MoS.
Banned only her and let me live.. while sending emails that all related accounts were banned.
While lettign all other bots in every other single room there bot.
Stood there for 1 hour and bam! disconnected. The room I found free was last one before anais and theres was a single bot standing there alone in the middle of the rrom. After she was banned he was still there.

It cannot happen to me, because I don't cheat.
In case you missed my hint: your story sounded exactly the same as dozens of "other botters stories" that one can read in non-official forums. They are always the same:
"OMG they banned all of my bots but one! What an inconsistency!!!"
"Why the heck would a GM ban a half of my bot train and let the other half live???"
"Wth they banned the buffer left in town while the rest of my trains are still up and running? How illogical!"
and so on.

private servers come from people like u, me and others who love the game...thats why bots almost always banned on private servers... cause we dont love them... non private servers a.k.a *cS**T dont want to ban bots because thats more $$$ for them... same with fixing the bugs/glitches and anything else, 4th time in a week my dual daggers and dual swords went missing from my inventory and i had to contact support for help... luckily for me they were found after whatever they did on the other hand...greedy ppl who have 7men parties in 98 lvls running and spoiling and farming adena/items for their main toons will always pay a bit extra just to come above someone else...
missing items for weeks, and not having NPC in towns, and constant crashes not FUN!!!

Juji, I had right. As started the prime time on the Naia from gmt+1 18:00 appeared again the bigger lag, I'm online today since gmt+1 9:00 didn't have any lag, just started the lag after 18:00.
Main reason is, that the server over populated as the winter arrived more players did return to the game so, you can't do anything else as ban hammering.
I did try warn the NCwest, that the Server Transfer service is one of worst idea (first of all you ban the bots with this very slow speed).

This question was not quickly answered in this thread because official response to this topic has already been given many times in multiple threads around the forums and it has not changed: we are working on catching and banning cheaters and we do actually ban many regularly. We are also working on improving our methods so that more results can be seen. Hopefully there will be more visible results in the future. I'm afraid there is nothing to add to this, so we cannot give further response on this topic. If you wish to discuss cheaters in general (but without posting accusations), there is a thread dedicated to this topic stickied in General Discussion (please post there about this to help avoid derailing this maintenance notice that is not related to the cheater topic).

Sace on the Naia the lag issue is much bigger as yesterday. from now it is really hard to play on it in prime time.
The best way to find bots I'd say is to have GMs in-game patrolling known areas so they can see the activity for themselves. The report bot button was destined to be abused..

Maybe insted of doing damage control, you should take the 15minutes and ACTUALLY inspect some areas(dvc, giants cave, etc...)
Or you can keep saying its on our end and finish your day like normal.
