End the Bot Programs Please.

Not another dime into L2store until bots are stopped. Only way we will win is if we strike their income. Stop purchasing L2store items until bot programs are gone Please. Spend your money on something else for a month its not hard.
You honestly think NCWest is going to notice a few players who decide they will no longer buy NCoins? You are deluded, bots probably spend more than you earn in six month so your useless little protest will accomplish nothing.

You know how many posts there have been like this? Quite a lot over the years and guess what, NCWest is still going.

Keep dreaming. :D

L2 and Aion NCoin purchases end up into the same bank account. Nobody's gonna notice it.
i think they have a way to track where the coins are spent, thats why we have statistics for aion and l2 profit every semester
they actually have detailed statistics about each item has been purchased, how many times etc

wrong info

every "team" within a company tracks its own P&L, it's their job security and their bonuses. So they might not know if you for example that have both l2 and Aion accounts linked to your login are buying coins for L2 or Aion. But they definitely track how much coin gets spent in each of their franchises. So the money ends up in the same account and gets spent as per management decisions, but it's unthinkable that they don't know precisely how much NCCoin L2 absorbs.

Read better next time, Yidao never said that they don't know where the money comes from. Put simply, it's an info only a specific department has knowledge of.

But still, L2 customers pay for Aion's upkeep, while Aion customers pay for L2's upkeep, because the funds go to the same account. Even the staff is shared between the 2 games...
Maybe this link is better; that's where the whole discussion started:
http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=261232&page=4#66
("... and they distribute the cash according to the need of the month, not according to how much was bought from the L2 Galleria or the Aion Galleria")

The pertinent point here is that the staff is shared between the 2 games. The only persons we can tag as "L2 team" are Cryo and Juji; with Vali I am not sure at all. While his predecessors were logged into the forum at any day of the week, Vali might only be a part-time L2 Community Manager. His absence on Mondays and Fridays seems to be a regular feature. That's why I asked him in that post whether he is moonlighting for Aion. The rest of the staff, the server people, the website people, the young lady who does the Facebook and Twitter stuff, are all shared resources, they get bonuses for whatever L2 and Aion produce together. SPAM for example is Customer Service Team Lead at NCsoft and not at Lineage 2, he is performing many duties for the Lineage 2 and Aion Communities:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/charlesporter
This gives rise to another question I have asked before: do we have a dedicated Lineage 2 Game Surveillance Unit or do the GMs working there have to split their attention between Lineage 2 and Aion?
A clarification from Vali would be appreciated.

@ Kushrip:
You should really look at the numbers in the link Tiferet provided above. Lineage 2 and Aion are at the moment generating a revenue of more than 5 million dollars per month. How much do you spend on NCoins? Not even Vood's 3000 or 30,000 dollars are getting noticed among those 5 million. That money is not "donated" by legit players but by the thousands of botters who believe the (possibly not unfounded) rumor that spending 10,000 NCoins per month protects them from persecution :D

I don't give a **** what Yidao says, that's not how companies operate. MS gets all the money from Windows/Office/XBox blah blah blah Apple gets all the money from OSX, iPhone, iTunes, iPod, Macbook, iMac blah blah and then assigns budgets to each team, but each team also knows precisely how much money it's bringing in. That's how the world works. If NCWest shares resources (= personnel) between Aion and L2 it's a whole different debate, MS does too, but to think they don't know precisely how much money each product generates per month is naive to the extreme. It's not some top secret department that knows the breakdown of their revenues, internally, everybody knows.

Wow, you managed to misread once again. Well, I guess it's too much reasoning for you.

OK, let me try to explain it it again:
Of course L2 Producer Cryo and his counterpart at Aion know how much was bought from the L2 Galleria resp. the Aion Galleria. Those are the numbers that go into the sales graphics you can see in the .pdf file in the quarterly earnings reports (http://global.ncsoft.com/global/ir/quarterly.aspx), as beleaua explained above. And I am sure Cryo is sharing those numbers internally in his pep talks, when he says things like "you will really have to put in more effort, otherwise only Aion will be left in a year from now." :D

But since the staff is a shared resource, it is not possible to say how much of the 5 million per month that L2 and Aion create together are used for the upkeep of the Lineage 2 servers and how much is used for Aion. An NCsoft IT expert could for example check how long each employee was logged in on his computer and what he or she did during that time (was Vali just staying logged in while he went home? Was he really browsing the forums? The L2 forums or the Aion forums?), but that would be meaningless. Nobody at NCsoft cares. For accounting purposes NC Interactive is treated as one unit. For NCsoft, L2 and Aion are not games, not "persistent worlds", but simply two different ways to extract money from the players' pockets and move it into the pockets of the shareholders. When either of those franchises does not fulfill this purpose any more, or when other franchises like for example WildStar offer better prospects, they will kill that franchise without a second's hesitation, just like Tabula Rasa and City of Heroes :D

excellent. So they know how much money they make from each game. So if next month one game started making half, they would indeed notice, all of them, not just some top secret ninjas hidden in an NCWest basement. Aka Tiferet1 needs to go take ECON 101 at college for the silliness that was "it all goes to same bank account they will not notice".

Rest is not "complicated". Every member of staff is a resource generating revenue. If they have 10 techs with say 400 work hours per week to manage 30 servers if the 5 L2 servers are not making them money they will direct their techs to spend increasingly less time working on L2 servers. Like if they currently spend 100 work hours/week on L2 servers, they will spend 50. Same applies to Game Surveilance. If they have 10 GMs with 400 work hours per week and they now spend 100 of those dealing with L2 (and that includes support, bugs, etc) they will spend 50. That's how the real world works. The fact the whole company might be one accounting unit as far as the parent company is concerned doesn't mean that internally they don't try to maximize their revenues and allocate their resources in such a way that will maximize them.

Bot buy Ncoins???? lol
Why the bot would need to buy ncoin?
I do not understand
bot = lvl+adena=not buy Ncoin
bot=buy Ncoin=not sense of being

I see many Latino bot using, he 100% of them only 1% buy ncoin and only appearance of items.

ZuFF, we are basically saying the same thing :)

What Tiferet meant in her first post, in answer to Kushrip's call for an NCoin strike, was that since the L2 and Aion NCoin purchases end up into the same bank account we are talking for example for the 2nd fiscal quarter 2013 not about a gross revenue of 8 million dollars but of 16.6 million dollars. Kushrip has not only to compete with the L2 botters for attention, but with their counterparts at Aion too. Nobody is going to notice it when there are 100 or 1000 dollars less in NCWest's account. As I said in the post Tiferet linked, NCWest's quarter-over-quarter revenue dropped from 22.7 million dollars to 16.6 million dollars just like that - simple market fluctuations, nobody's fault, no NCoin strike was going on. We are living in a chaotic universe; it doesn't matter what you or I or anybody does or says or how many NCoins we purchase or don't purchase - we are all just a drop in the ocean :D

more info about? what contradicts what i said? i dont have the time to dig through aion forum again but they have statistics of item purchased and they know where moneys come from. if l2 doesnt make any money they will know, even if the moneys go in the same pocket. on top of that i've spent enough time there to know their important or to say the public human resources are not shared. they might have low-end employees/engineers or w/e that manage all servers, patches and stuff like that.

Which is still incorrect because they can generate reports showing where those coins were spent, so they know how many NCcoins were spent on L2 items and how many were spent on Aion items. Further they know how many coins were spent on each individual item. And you can bet your britches that they actually do look at the breakup to that detail and even look at reports by time. When there is a drop of 6 million dollars you know someone is having to answer for that drop to her/his boss.

I never contradicted you.

:D politics
It's good lineage2 they are null ! they are not even able to apply their own restrictions, they get what they deserve.

bot please continue, continue to destroy this game soon more players finally if just you mouhahahahahahah.
and what about you don't say where to go.. and we don't say to you what to do?
I really don't fathom how people manage to necro the wrong threads and refuse to search for their answers...
