Indeed, they're bot-crowded places. I myself have fun KSing the hell outta the summoners in WoA, since I'm an archer with far more range than their silly nukes and summons... But XP gain suffers.
Well, since legit players doesn`t goes there (because these areas are ALREADY full of bots), is a nice strategy! :D
The not so nice thing is that (by logic) we can wait by bots that will migrate to the few areas where legits still play.
And so, the next update will short the rewards there too...
Man, I hope they start to put drops on instances (All my faith is now on that Royal Hunting Ground NPC that they made tests at some time, and what was that) or we'll starve to death regarding drops :D LOL
And no, on our country such action would be compared to that "Political Reforms" getting hard to corrupt politicians from succeed. :D

I dont know if you understand the problem, I am not worry about xp. If you want XP, buy some runes and be happy.
I am concerned with the reduction of items dropped by monsters. What makes the game fun is find something cool with a mob, another more interesting with another and so the game is fun. Whenever I go to play I think: I wonder what I'll find different today? But now I know I will find nothing more....

Well, i have a friend who got banned for do exp with some randoms using auto pickup and he was 100% legit, all party got banned when 1 random was using auto pick up so gg.

Not true.
When I need adena I farm @ tully workshop. Unfortunately that place is full of bots. Other good place to spoil / aoe to adena farm is Monastery of Silence, 45M adena each in each hour of hunt + 8M from spoil.
To farm 50M adena in my main class I need hunt at least 50 hours in Hellfire.

i still go to Varka 68-76... i'm old school.
i have my own private area where bots hang out, but usually not 20 bots.
and 1 or 2 you can lead away, handle.

That made my day! I have a friend who used to ally with Ketra against Varka Silenos for this same reason, since he was a Grand Khavatari.

Some of those areas listed include daily quests, and when you're doing the dailies it was nice to bank a little adena from drops.
I mean how much can the drops be nerfed that as a normal player we can't get any materials or adena anymore? When people cheat, everyone is punished. This has always been the approach. Let's slap a band-aid on the problem and call it a day.
As much as I hate to say it, putting something like this in the store might be a better route to go. Might even take care of the bots that farm adena since more people would opt to buy money from the store instead of buying it from adena sellers.

As low as you let them . While part of the players are willing to spend a lot of dollars in L2Store , nobody will give a **** about normal players .
Might as well sell adena packages in the store.
You dont have to be Nostradamus to see this future :) First they will drain you of all you adena to the point where you have to Ebay . Then they will announce they are destroying the adena bot farmers , by introducing Adena in L2store .
After some introspection, NCSOFT's decision to make this game into a pure cash-shop model has contributed to the destruction of the MMORPG genre of gaming as a whole.
We are indeed seeing a backlash developing not only in this game but elsewhere as well.
I think the original EverQuest subscription model will make a rousing comeback in the near future.
The in-game cash-shop model has now been proven to be an UTTER FAILURE in the West.

What NCSOFT should have done is kept their original subscription model and allowed ONLY cosmetic in-game cash items PERIOD.
Once they started the PAY TO WIN process, it became an illegitimate game, allowing real world economics to determine who would get the best gear and items.
The state of this game is truly a travesty as I've been playing this game since it first went RETAIL (off and on).
I am a PURELY LEGIT player. I have never spent 1 dime on any of the cash items, although I was more than willing to PAY to play this game while it was subscription based.
I literally cannot wait until Lineage 3 comes out or something remotely similar.
I wouldn't say dropping the monthly fee and inserting the cash shop is a fail. Profits went sky high,more players etc.
What NC has done is drive you to use the shop by lowering xp,drops, vitality consumption high etc. The pk system protects bots anyways,so it's not like the players could do much to help themselves thanks to that penalty.
I guess the plus side of nerfing the adena in those spots would make doing daily quests easier for people doing them.
Actually the trend in the tech world is to go toward SAAS (Software As A Service) or a SUBSCRIPTION model.
This is also one of the main reasons why mobile companies aim for 2 year contracts or any long-term contracts, and give you a phone at a cheaper price up front.
This same model works when you buy a printer these days. They literally give you the printer for free, because they get you on the ink you have to buy over and over again for that printer.

There are a couple factors that work against NC NA too remember. Firstly it's Korean based so advertising in the US is limited or not at all. Our updates are not always what Korea gets and we never get them when they do. Lack of man power is also against us. There's not much behind support and live support...well forget that.

This whole update is good only for BOT users, Adena Sellers, TOP clans, and old players. Recently joined players will get nothing. No adena, no seed talisman, no TW, no cookies, no honey...
When i first read all patch notes i really thought that Nova is now not only holding the server, the are in DEV Team.:D
One hero today was very thankfull to the devs for the comming updates where nova will get the jackpot and legit players nothing, just a few hours ago. So from wednesday it would be impossible to compete with them at all (top clans, old players, cheaters and so on).
So wait for Blade and Soul and forget about Lineage 2 that died and is resting in peace from C4 Interlude.
