I'm new here, starting a new adventure once again first time on an official server.
Some friends of mine, playing since a year or something, are in a clan where CL is banned. After reading around the forum, maybe just not enough, i have no clue about something...
Is it even possible to switch leader to someone else (in this situation ofc)? If yes, how?
Isn't just stupid to lock "forever" a CH? I mean, CH are rarest stuff in a server and this one is turning useless.
What about CWH?

True that, but sometimes its hard to understand someone, if he's the right man to lead a small community (yeah its a game but a clan is something to take care of), or maybe he just went mad suddently.
I don't even know what happened tbh, didn't talk to my friends yet.
A clan without a CL can never level, get clan skill and never get a castle. If there is not anyone with rights to sign up for a fort or a seige, you won't get fame that way. With the prices of CH today, you will have a tough time keeping it. Why would you donate hard worked adena just to keep a CH of a clan that is dead in the water?
Your best bet is to withdraw from the clan. As stated you can't benefit other than a chat box and you can friend everyone and detag and do the same thing. I wouldn't dump any adena or items into the warehouse. Eventually the money will run out and the hall will go up for auction.
I was just curious if ppl find this system to be a good one, its not about WHY would i pay for this CH, its about i CAN do it. i CAN keep it. (Also you don't know how many adenas could be there already, it could be 20kkk you can't know)
1 out of 54 (?) CHs just for ME, just for a guy out of 2500/3500 ?

Don't either come here sayin' "join a clan bot free" because its just ridicolous. I had to farm fog cause i'm mad at bots and varka its their property. I can't believe there are "bot free" clan out there...
The way it is now, the CL owns the clan. Only the CL can initiate an ownership transfer.
That's why no one should ever put anything into the clan bank that they can't live without. For all intents and purposes, it is now owned by the CL. There are no loans in L2.

The I have no idea the point of your original post if you just want to argue with what you were told. You aren't going to show anyone up or prove anything by dumping funds into a warehouse of a clan you don't own or control.
CH its not something you can't live without. CH its about server wealth.
We are talking about something wich could actually help server being better and all i read its "it works like this, it must be correct" or "fact is.."

Just to make it clear to those who didn't understand.
On healthy servers, it works as it is.
Since Korean servers are the main market for NCSoft, what works there is left almost untouched. This means that since the CH feature there works well and the CHs change hands or get into the hands of the most powerful clans, the feature is going to be left unchanged. What changed (with Lindvior) is the increase in the weekly fee.
If u have 2nd person in clan with all cl privileges he can put ch on auction and you can buy it with new clan *. Same you do if you want to get adena from cwh.

ONLY the CL can remove items from the clan warehouse, it's always been this way.
If they put the CH up for auction, you they will have is a clan with a heap of adena in a dead CWH and no CH.

If other player have privileges as cl he can participate in auction so in the end if he have 10 b in cwh they will get back like 6-8 bil back . Been there done that .

The proceeds of a sale of a Clan Hall are paid into the Clan Warehouse.
Only the clan leader has access to the clan warehouse.
The money would still be lost if the clan leader had already been banned, so as I said before, the clan would have no clan hall and a lot of adena in the warehouse.
U mean selling CH to flying pigs? U gotta shout in Aden.
I mean change Clan Leader, because don't wanna lose all goods (clan with many passive skills, clan wh almost full) coz of 1 man ...
