While the Game Support Team doesn't make the decisions that would impact things like server time zones, the forums are the best place to discuss your ideas with fellow players who can voice their feedback and suggestions. These can then be forwarded to the development and production team from there.

So dim siege now is on sunday and starting at 23:00 gmt+1 (time for most of EU players), starting at 2:00 gmt+4(time for most of RU players) and it last for 2h so you can easy count when it gonna end. Thats definitely not an acceptable time for all the EU/Ru players, for NA its good time and for NA players that time would still be good even if siege would start 3hours earlier. If you dont do something with the dim siege time it make most of the players that are working on Monday not able to participate on that siege.
So plz do something to change the time.

+1, The old time worked fine for both Euro & NA players so no clue why it was changed like this and it would be great & much appreciated if it could be changed back :)

put back to old times and you'll see DragonHunters and the sub top clans from Naia also show up which should make for more pvp fun but we all know Nova is in it for the easy earned loot aka PVE/Raid farm clan and not a PVP clan :D

I love pvp, but I hate having to cancel my plans every weekend or not even make plans for these god awful siege times that we have now when in the past for years sieges started at 7:00 EST on Sunday and 9:00 EST on Saturday. I don't play on a euro server so why should I have to put up with ****** euro times? I would much rather have sieges at 2 AM than 2 PM since all you are sacrificing is a little sleep and not the prime-time of your day.

Euros are quitting their jobs over 2 hours of sleep once every 14 days? That doesn't make any sense at all.
As of right now, Dimensional Siege falls during the AFC Championship game and the NFC Championship game of American Football. How is that fair for us Americans?

Well i would agree on those two times too, but as summer comes we will change time and move 1h forward so aham i guess 19:00 - 20:00 gmt +1 would be perfect.

There is no fair solution when it comes to a game that has a player base that spans from Los Angeles to Moscow.
It is easier and less of hassle to stay up late or set an alarm than to have to call out of work or leave early since a lot of people that play L2 in America are working during these times of Dimensional Siege posted here.

ok, but is Sunday late evening/Monday morning, im sure more ppl r in work/school in Monday ins ted in Sunday, so start cs/dim in 00/01/02.00 am is not to good if you need to go in work/school in 7am. If it was in Saturday nite my opinion is the even if start in that time is not big problem because 80% or more of ppl is free in Sunday so have time to "recovery" till Monday work/school... in the end ppl play here from +8 to -8 so is total no chance to be good for all but need to get compromises or make poll, let 2-4 weak to ppl vote and see what gmt to be start of dm

I totally support Advol's suggestion to change Dimensional Siege time for something which happen early. The previous time was fine for me, I don't really know why it got changed with Valiance, especially since this setting is strongly linked to the population and players more than the update itself

Nobody tells you to cancel your plans. If your real life plans are that great just don`t log in and enjoy your time. 2 pm on day off is totally diffrent story then 2 am on monday when you must wake up at 6 am to go to work. Ofc you obviously don`t understand that couse like you wrote it`s more inconvenient to play at 2 pm then 2 am ( great logic). It`s obvious that time is bad couse nobody who cares about his/her job won`t miss proper sleep before it just to play game. You wanna keep that time? Change it too saturday then. For EU times are currently bearable at best, for MSK++ it's horrible. And considering one of the three or four good pvp clans are mostly russians the current times are basically just making dimensional siege pretty pointless in terms of competition. Therefore 20:00 CET sounds reasonable indeed and 21:00 CET - maybe. But current times are ridiculous.
After all if you wanted to keep NA times you could change times on all servers so people know that you don't want EU players here...

Juji, Vali plz can you make a poll (like you did in the past for each server time zone) ? So the majority will decide the for the siege time. Having EU and NA players we will never find a perfect time for everyone, so best way is to put up a vote for it and just pick the time that make most of the players happy/able to come.

I am not sure whether a poll would be a good idea in a free-to-play system where everybody can make dozens of throwaway accounts to manipulate the outcome.
Since players from China are IP-blocked, it is obviously possible for NCWest to see from which country a player is logged in. So Juji, why don't you look at the data of an old Dimensional Siege, preferable the one with the most players ever logged in, and then determine the ratio of Europeans vs. North/South Americans vs. Australians. If you want the most possible players logged in, set the time to be convenient for the majority. If too many players on the Dimensional Server put an undue strain on your resources, set the time to be convenient for the minority :)

thus means port time is normal? but the siege times are totally off..

Second if you actually had plans you know there is always the option of not playing lineage 2? We were not able port back and as someone said, we bet it has something to do with number of ppl on dim server. It seems like NPC count every single person (even if you crashed and log back) as one more slot. So if you crashed and loged back - you take two slots. Most factor clans relay on certain organization and predictability so yes some of us do make some sacrifices for the other people we play with. It doesn't mean we have to suck it up and let it go when we think it's just too much to ask, especially since all this started after the infamous NC bug fixing which usually is bug replacement as I suspect it is in this particular case.

Vali is just a Community Manager. What we need is hard data about the nation-wise composition of the players entitled to participate in the Dimensional Siege, otherwise you will just have pointless bickering between Merkins and Euros.

Juji, who is Associate Producer and whose job this is, should draw up a list of the nationality of all lvl 85+ members of all castle-owning clans on all servers, and to make the statistics even more relevant, do it for those who have logged in during the last 3 months, or since October 1st (3Q2013). Those will also be players who spend money on NCoins, i.e. they are the people who provide NCWest with a reason to exist. Such data will also be valuable for future executive decisions, like when the time for the Conquest Wars (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1122&start=40#p24630) has to be set.

"Just"... oh my... First a good community manager can boost your sales a lot therefore it's becoming one of the key positions in a lot of companies. Second the CM's job description usually include things like reporting trends to the stakeholders, being advocate of the brand on the web, minute by minute participation in conversations that surround a specific content and brand, answering comments, be a mediator, working with the development team, with the customer support etc.
Now lets apply this to the "just a community manager" we got here:

This topic - he's neither defending the current times nor is mediating (other topics - same story).
Out of his last 25 posts 7 are server maintnance related (when it starts when it ends). 2 are related to the fishing guild npc (enabled, disabled), questions answered - none, defending the company - nada, mediating with the online community - nicht. I also see 5 posts about the prize wheel and several into the hero coins topic - mostly explaining things that should have been included into the announcement itself anyway.
Now if we check the job description of the CM and check what Vali do, we'll see that Juji is actually fitting a bit more into the job than Vali, except for the part where it requires dedication and as some companies put it - addiction to online conversations.
So please stop defending someone who is pretty much not doing his job. And honestly if NCWest is considering Vali's work a good one than they're having the most clueless management I've ever seen.
I'll grant Vali that he's coping well with the pressure tho if our company personnel was so relaxed in the face of the amounts of complains in the forums and the customer support there would be a big handout of pink slips.

Like I said some months ago, he is probably one of those dual-purpose employees, spending most of his time on Aion. And precisely because he is not very familiar with Lineage 2 he can not help you with the Dimensional Siege times.
Fact is that the starting time of the Dimensional Siege has not changed in Korea (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=264417&page=2#40) since that feature was introduced with Lindvior 2. There is no intrinsic, game-related reason why it should suddenly change at NCWest. This is either a simple bug, or it has to do with the way Koreans perceive non-Koreans:

Why they should care? Ppl still play and pay money so they can be relaxed for now. But someday this thing will change but it might be to late for them to fix all this **** they do.
On topic: The time for ds is huge bs atm, and it will be even worse when we go for summer time.
Given all the complaints I would suggest the Dem Sieges just go away. More than half of the clans who go are just "assisted" anyway so its really just a siege that could done away with. Those that "win" do so by any means they can and there is no true oversight on NCsofts part so why continue to support failed efforts on thier part to somehow think they are breathing life into a failing game.
Instead of pumping useless efforts into making the game "cool" how about fixing the real problems. Dem Sieges are not end game content and they are not true proof of any one clans dominance, they are just proof of a game long lost in integrity.

Dimensional Sieges are an activity which attract a lot of "end game players", doing PvP and getting indeed end game stuff.
It would have been nice to see any attention from NCSoft Team on this thread

There was a time when there was a vote about time of sieges. It was long time ago. And all people could see that for 2 sieges day (historical set up) the huge majority of players was interested in sieges 18-20 and 22-00 GMT +1.

dunno why ncwest has habbit to always change something that was working perfectly fine into something that doesnt work for half ur server population if not more (talking about all 5? servers)
like then a skill works perfectly fine and next maintenance ncsoft managed to **** it up hard
first frintezza was all cool to do with chance on good drop
now frintezza is worthless (just an example)
when stuff works good dont touch it imo. if u car engine runs perfectly fine ur not going to hit it with a hammer either incase it might run better after but it will most likely be ****** up after >.<
Siege time is 20:00 to 22:00 server time for all servers.
But DS is on in total deferent server, no in one of 5 servers (chr,mag,nai,bar,shil) so what time zone is that server (lets give him name Dimensional Server) ncsoft have servers from gmt -5 to +1 gmt
What GMT +/- is Dim server atm and lets change time to be more accessible to most of active players? also before Valiance one time now other time with ninja update who is not introduce anywhere ...

up, today on dim siege we again had the same problem to port back on the server.
1st hour of siege no problem to port back, 2nd hour of siege nobody could port back, lf fix !

you've obviously not been on the last 2 DS with this awesome time slot to say such as then you would know SH has zero problems fighting those clans that participate but we do notice the absence of many strong players/parties from Naia that are in clans with castles..
now why you think those ppl don't bother to show up or you really think if DH came with their whole siege force they would not be able to smash 1 of the clans holding say Heine/Goddard/Schutgard castle really ?
after the 2nd round fighting on the DS server I can tell you the top pvp clans on NCWest servers is really SH/Nova then DH then the rest period.
ps, the first to hit 99 was Martelx who was at that time in DH and the first +15/16 weapons were all in DH too..
They probably were the first to have red weapons because they were conscientiously going to work on Monday mornings so that they could afford the Destiny Packs or whatever it was where you got those Destruction Scrolls from ^^
Nevertheless it is interesting to note that DragonHunters don't seem to post in this thread. Language problems? Don't you have the equivalent of the US/Soviet "red telephone", a channel of communication with your enemies for emergencies like the honorable Ms. Choi simply setting the Dimensional Siege time to the Castle Siege time on the default server, i.e. Chronos, completely forgetting that the servers at NCWest are set for four different time zones?

SH members are part of one of the biggest clan on NC servers. Do you think company shouldn't care about major customers? I also don't think we are crying here about something, we just want NCsoft thing before they do something and because they choose have server with EU time, they should make dim siege accessible also for us. If you think the fact that we have to go to the work is something that no one cares about ... well, we work = we have money and we can spend them in l2 store. So yes, i think "Juji and comp" should care what we think.

Totally agree, most of the castle owning clans on DS you can kill with randomly picking targets which of course don't make them bad clans, probably just undergeared, but it does show that excluding one of the biggest clans of the whole thing due to their members having to attend an event around the time they get up for work is making the whole exercise a comedy...
And to the one that said that only SH is crying about it - we do not have any problem having more than adequate siege force at the current times, it's inconvenience but it's not like we aren't able to achieve our objectives. Thing is that instead of fighting our enemy we have to terrorize clans that don't stand a chance against us...

got any news yet or not? I mean we know you have alot to do but still, Dim Siege is quite important no? So maybe you can give it a higher priority? :)
The patches are sent out on the Monday before the Wednesday. If Juji sends Choi So-ra a reminder by 16:00 Pacific Standard Time, she has it in her mailbox tomorrow morning 09:00 Korea Standard Time and can still put back in the correct Dimensional Siege time before she sends out the patch for this Wednesday, which then applies on the following Sunday :)
