Personally, I'd wait and see how all the guinea pigs do 1st. If you see a lot of crying because they can't play, then I'd hold off....If you hear a lot of "works great", then go ahead.
I strongly believe that the real problem for L2 is not the skill Reflect of tanks BUT allowing BOTs (toons driven by 3rd party software both in PVE and PVP)
Removing reflect in 99+ areas will make leveling of tanks totally impossible.
Why simply do not remove Tanks as classes , or just say that experience in L2 is only PAID …. i.e. no pay à no level up ?
Removing such important skills for some classes is leading to just one think ….. more real players will quit L2 … because they do not want to start programs for farming (Botting 24x7 , which is SO typical for big PVP clans)
Maybe the real reason for NCSoft not to solve BOT-issue and keep all both-programs still working for so many years is that NCSoft is receiving PROFIT from all 3rd party software developer (Tower, *******, L2-control, etc.).
You have to check your logs and see how many ppl 99 stop logging into L2 after Oddysey update …… the reason is simple ….. real ppl have no chance to beat BOTS in fast exping and PVP (scripts have no delays/ lags/ of missclicks) .
Also, you can check top-level players … to see how many hours they spent hunting (24 x 7) …..
Of course , doing above simpe checks is logical if someone in NCSoft still cares about game and real players ……

I reckon the system is just old. I've worked on some games just as old it has a similar block style. It recognizes the letters versus the word itself.

The NPC Buff to reflect damage is just funny. Tanks can barely level as it; now you have fully destroyed the class without being in a party. People say "get party" but it's not that easy when most are botting / aoeing (don't really need tank since Nuker snare). Hopefully the resistance increase isn't that big.
I am a player from the start server and FTP client for this game .. spending over 1000 dollars a year (is that some ppl spend more) with subcripcion the prestige pack and transfer of server .. and I am deeply upset the decision and interference in the gameplay, giving resistance to reflex damage in lvl 100 areas .. I am a tank user and i get experience from this way. They modified the game arbitrarily, solely because of the inability to have an online gm checking bot or malpractice. with this seriously affect players even with a broken class as the tanks trying to level up .. I seen partys complete in Atelia Fortress 24/7 and there is no sanction for them .. a player with reflex must bufs all moobs kill and wait 10 minutes to kill again ..
this is to let my discomfort and canceling my subcripcion to prestigepack and not buying more ncoins losing an active customer .. because this decision is disrespectful to me as player and easy solution to a problem that clearly solved by WATCH and not changing the game ..

Months ago, I posted a long list of old-time bugs that should be fixed ASAP; Neutronium from QA team read it and commented. Guess what, the bugs are still there!
As someone suggested, the asterisks in the filtered words should be replaced by "NCsoft", e.g.:

P.S. Isn't "a-r-s-e" an outdated way of saying "a-s-s"? Yet "a-s-s" is not censored in game while "a-r-s-e" is.

Simply filter listed words only when they are found between spaces and/or symbols (, . ! ? etc) so the words that happen to contain banned words aren't affected like examples listed (Noble, Nobless, Phoenix, Titan, Title)
An instruction as simple as this one could do the trick:
- Detect the word
- Check previous and next character
- Filter or not
