if you have a static ip you obviously don't need to reverify it. If you have a dynamic IP you have to reverify it. And NCWest was MONUMENTALLY stupid when they decided the account structure (1 account per 1 email account), instead of allowing you to nest multiple accounts under one email address, like the old pre-god system was.
Now they are forcing me to go around in circles to do to something as simple as logging in. Cause at least if all my accounts were under one email address I could just get the codes on my phone and type them in, but no, I have to go check multiple email addresses.

it's actually less secure. Cause before if I wanted to give my buddy access to say my high level healer so he can go rez or whatever he only had game level access, not account level access. Now he automatically gets account level access (ie he can change pins, passwords etc), anything you can do by accessing the web account administration interface.

Beside that,as far as you don't restart your router,you can use the option "remember this location as verified IP",so you wont need to log in ur email everytime you log an account (at least,it works for me for the forum)...
And probably you wont have issues with logging 3 boxes...at least,unlegits wont for sure. Maybe just more problems for the 'shared accounts',but ggwp with those :D

It is not about router. It is about ISP which gives people fresh and new IP address every time they turn on PC or reconnect. With big ISP this IP pool can be 100-200-800k addresses for example.

True, but they will adapt and find a way to log in if they want. It is up to the player if they want to play, I think this is an amazing feature because it helps with account sharing. This verification update is trash. I had lost access of one of my emails 2 years ago because hotmail said "It looks like someone else might be using your account" and wanted stuff that I couldn't remember in order to get access back. So I could log into game with my username but couldn't log on forums and buy stuff because of the failed verification. Now I lose my entire game account too. For the sake of what? "Safety"? Don't make us laugh. Leave things that work as they are and concentrate of fixing stuff that are broken for years ingame. It's like you do things intentionally just to piss people off... Smh with this company.

Sadly for those who have problems with needing to re-authenticate your location it is not a easy solution.
Some net-providers have a very limited pool of IP's for the amount of customers they have so they resort to a rotational system called IP-leases which keeps IP's available for everyone.
This means your provider may give you a limited time on a certain IP address (for example for 4 hours) before this IP becomes "free" to be used by someone else.
Due to the amount of customers and how advanced their system is setup it could mean you could be assigned the same IP which would be optimal to make sure no interruptions of any service happens but sadly many net-providers rather choose a easy and cheap to maintain system which means a dynamic IP changing every time the system rotates with no regard to whatever IP you used to have before.
If the information is a bit too technical in nature consider the following scenario:
Your ISP has 1 million customers but only 500.000 IP's to give out.
It would mean they can only serve half their customers.
However not all customers will be online at the very same moment so say at any time 400.000 are online.
By rotating IP's on shorter time it means they can keep serving all customers instead of giving you a problem because there would be no IP available.
Obviously this does not take away from the frustration and hopefully NCWest is aware of the problem for these people and has a fix in the works for people to not be confronted everyday (or more often) with this problem.

you don't need access to the email account. In theory I can give you my game l/p and the security code when NCWest sends the email to the account I control. However, by doing that, I surrender full control of the NCWest account to you. Ie you can login to the website with your now authorized IP and do whatever you want.
Pro account sharers have no issue sharing the throwaway gmail account they used to create their shared l2 account, this is doing absolutely zero to stop them. not to mention if you 're pro, you can a afford a proxy so you all share 1 ip and never have to re-verify.

no guys its no tnx for this , not all players can give real money for pixels especially 10-30k euros that needed for l2 . with 1 char its impossible to farm adena everybody knows that . only thing you can do is make many chars and take alittle adena from each. for example in oly for farm ge. so if you make it impossible log many chars then increase item drop rate by 10,000% or close the game . or you just milk the cow till nothing left and close game after ? thats the signal you give to me. even with f2p players game is atm dead, imagine if you kick all of them who are the majority.

look at how freaking annoying it is to login now. You open launcher, login, all is well. But fark ... servers are not up. So client exits. No other option. Now you have to re-launch the client, relogin blah blah. until servers are up and the client stops closing.
That replaces spaming login when servers are down, which is what you did till yesterday.
NCWest has once again managed to shoot itself in the foot. Instead of paying some dude minimum wage to spend 8 hours a day running across the servers and banning bots, they make their clients jump through hoops. But then again nobody ever "accused" NCWest of being any good at managing the **** game.

Juji, please look at shadow weapon stat. It had been lower than before. My shadow buster is 272 Matk instead of 417 as said in patch note. I looked into other shadow weapon too. It has same problem.

You need for example to log 2 boxes to enter in instances (epics istina/octavis/tauti just for example), you have two friends who stopped to play and send you email/password/pin for log his char when you want, to do what you want when you want, coz you don't have yourself 2 boxes 97+.
Now ... you can't. You must contact him all the time in hope he will answer fast, to be able to connect ... and after few times he will not answer back anymore coz he don't care about this game anymore, so you are finnally faked up.
Same things about cp members, you can't log at time this evening when we plan big instance ? np i box you only for enter and when you are here you disconnect yourself and join back party. Fak i can't anymore coz i need your code confirmation !

This sounds like a huge mess coming. I already have more stupid email addy's that I can barely keep track of. If my box iss dc's in Istina and I have to frantically search for an email acct you guys made me make I'm gonna get ******. Many email acct's I made I did never use again, why would I, didn't want them in the first place, some probably were deleted.

After so many years in lineage 2, I see everyday less active players online. The last month in Chronos is very hard to find people for k95 or the other quests. The last month I log in every day, I'm searching for a party and after half an hour I don't find any active party and I logout again. And today you update the launcher and call us all to do what? to verify our ip every time we login? Not all the countries have static ip you know... Do you believe this will help the activity of servers? I don't. If I have to login to my email every day just for login and try to find people for a daily quest and not find anyone so logof again, then I prefer to just uninstall lineage2. And one more thing. All the old players have more that one account so do I. What about those emails that not exist anymore? For example I have an account that the hotmail I used don't exist anymore, how can I verify it? I can't! So what I loose this account? maybe... think how many people having the same problem. Think about how many people will you loose. Alternative accounts are in game buyers for ncsoft AND for the other players. Over the 60% of the market sales are for second chars, they need armors and weapons too.
Do you want to keep this verify system? ok keep it but let us decide if we want it or not. Make an option in your site so we can login and choose if we want the verify system active or not for our account. That would be fair enough. But sorry you can't just keep it for all... We are players but we are customers too, so yes you have to listen to what we think about this. I will personaly leave this game if I need to verify my ip every single day. That's correct. Sharing accounts is (and has been) against the EULA.
So why in your NcSoft term of use while creating account it's said, you can use an other NcSoft ID account if the owner of this account autorize you ?

gameguard still incompatible with visual studio, especially with buttons debug/release it fails to run/test any code while l2 is running with gameguard... Its really pain when you force us to close game for every time i have to change something small in code.
Its just a minor inconvenience.. I appreciate any attempt to keep people from logging in with bot programs.
It won't do anything to stop the bots since they do not use the game client anyway. Bot programs always had auto log-in function as well as entering the PIN code.
It is a weak attempt at most but I have a static IP so the new system does not bother me.
what a royal pain to install the whole game again because the launcher could not be downloaded independently.
Just ask your friends , so they can just send you archive with installed and updated launcher.
Unpack it then into "program files", overwriting original - and all updated and works

1. Idiotic login system for peoples with downie.
2. Everytime i relog need new verife code, on all my boxs, already my mail is full spammed and gmail added ncsoft to spam list...
3. Can't relog characters, need everytime close/open new game....
4. When i relogin my character on other PC i don't see it's in use from new login, it open game then tell me account used, need close game and open again wtf...
And now SUPRISE FOR SO SMART GM's... check 3rd sites, already your idiotic system is broken, and they loging to game without launcher and gameguard, how you feel fail everything arround, and making restrictions for peoples that not using 3rd prog.? If you wan't close server, just say it, no need killing it by idiotic updates with restrictions only for legit ppl...

I appreciate the xp boost and insane kartia boost and the app stones, i really do, its super great! ... but it comes with its drawbacks.
-Game looks a bit weird/off on nvidia cards after update, it hurts my eyes
-Email verification system is forbidding me to use old friends account who quitted playin this game since years/months
-Blessed spiritshots work fine, but soulshots doesnt give bonus damage, or very very minor. Even though the P. Atk seems much more increased with the new SA, it feels like im hitting without SS
I think you only get the ruby bonus, but im hitting pretty much the same amount with/without Soulshots, and it's less damage, than before update by a huge amount.
I have 0 issues with the launcher. Like many residential isp customers in the US I don't pay for a static IP. Logged in three times never had to verify my account.
Kartia boost is insane for groups. It's not fun to be honest bashing the boss for 10 minutes straight but the 30% or whatever at level 90 made up for it. The solo one was Ok though not as much xp.
Nice update. I am wondering how long can I hold off on claiming the leveling rewards? Are they always going to be there?

Anyone having issues where after the login Page the game launcher dosen't connect too net . I put my info in push login the sec window comes up and drops ?? any known solutions ??

Did you reach high enough to claim them?
to get the lindvior earring, you need to reach like 28 million XP on the clan hunting thing, 15 days mean 28+28, next one is 28+28+28 etc.
Login reward is only when clan has unique members online for 30 or more minutes, rewards are at stages 10 20 30 40.

Yup, we sure did. Enough for stage 4 bonus and 30-day Lindivior! Rescue Rangers is a rather large clan and we typically have 60+ people logged and playing every day.

That is a possible solution. I myself found that you can get a good grip on the situation if you disable the automatic Shot feed by right-clicking before you log out a character. The character remembers this and when you log in again, the Shots are off in a qualified way. Right-clicking again will reliably re-enable the automatic feed.
What I really dislike about the new system is that you can't have regular Shots and for example the weightless Shots from the Lara event at the same time in your Inventory. The system will always choose the regular Shots, so you can't use up a few remaining Event Shots and then switch on the others. You have to store them on your Buffer or whatever.
Juji, in Korea they still have the old system. Here a screenshot from yesterday, i.e. the Helios update:
Can we please have the old system back instead of wasting man-hours on trying to fix the new gimmick? Putting Shots on the shortcut bar is an established and working technology. No need to re-invent the wheel :)

i can honestly say i dont have a problem with the new system a simple double right click fixes it if they dont work

Some of those people might not really have enabled their Shots. That happened to me after the maintenance. The Shot icon was "rotating", but only the first Shot had been loaded (with the proper sound effect, so no cause for suspicion). Then things quietly got stuck.

Different Shot Selection
Separate UI added to select different types of shots (Mysterious, Normal, Blessed etc).
Can be found by left-clicking on the automatic soulshot or spiritshot icon.
Soul and blessed shots do NOT work in Dim Raid. The new icon doesn't show up and you can't use them automatically by right clicking on them on your hotbar. So much for testing stuff before it goes live!
What about this daily quest "Plans to repair the stronghold", how to give back the quest, when NPC's at Atelia are not there and every time when I want to give bk the quest I must to kill first mobs, to summon the NPC's?

+1. Auto shots have been bugged for a LONG time and they go and add to the problem by adding fuel to the fire. It's a pain having to constantly check to see if they're working correctly.
I like the new system, easy to change weapons now.
for example in oly my blessed SS for buff weapons are automatically enabled, before patch i had to switch bars etc and start them manually after every match.
About healer and wynn, i can see why requipping your weapon is going to suck in olympiad, but that is ONE minor bug that should be easily fixed, while all other classes benefit from this.
Dimensional raid (and siege im betting) is going to be annoying until they fix it, but they probably just need to edit one line of code to get it sorted.
Bugged on all yuls, but it doesnt affect the skills, they still work as intended.

Plus i had 14k P atk and after update it went down to 8k in fullbuff (85ish char)
