but if the drop is almost from kartia garbage to sell in the shop and always drop 4 parts, istina too, some raid open world maybe a decent drop, the problem is that drop from all instances not full item, crafting pack and some day of the month, no adena nothing. this is starting to be boring, pay? no. full bots, so no!

I must admit, this has been an extremely disappointing period for Anniversary Sale promotions. Couple that with the fact that we're still in the dark about the two main account services that everyone wants -- Dual to Main Class, and Race Change -- I'm starting to reconsider my budget for Ncoins altogether. Less. When we get less, NCSoft gets less. Simple equation.
Also how can some one in a six month server have 80bil adena. Farming and picking every single adena and selling every item can not make this amount. I am w8ing for a blug & play botting service from NCSoft (something similar with the prestige "fake" pack) so the rest of us who don't bot can subscribe and have a legitimate botting system.

i have question if drop rate is 2x so teoricly k95 group schould drop more items not same4 as usual it schould be like 5 or 6 ? but now its the same drop.

You can't crystallize these, but istina/octavis ones can be sold to npcs for 1,76kk. I've been calculating how much I can get from these and for 44k points it was something like 800 mil, which I didn't care to cash, due to the absurd 1 by 1 clicking.

Hmm this is not true and we are investigating the issues with bots and taking action daily against them. Our team put a lot of time and effort into the special Anniversary Event for you, the players, not the bots. Maybe you can elaborate what you would have liked to have seen instead for an event and we can work on improving for next year?
With such attitude, very soon u will merge all servers in one with 100 donators with same top gear.

an effective and simple system against bots would be somewhat similar to using the mmo silkroad, at the door of each city and the gk an NPC to move randomly about 10 meters from the point in question. All he has to do is delete their accounts. A few mouse-clicks and the problem is solved. Annihilating several thousand dollars worth of equipment will send out a very clear message and discourage those players from ever playing an NCsoft game again.
If you want to be taken seriously as an enforcer, you sooner or later must kill somebody. Just do it.

As a Producer he is of course very concerned about the bot situation and doing everything he can to find a way to fix this. Additionally, banning bots is more than a few mouse clicks since those users usually come back again and again and again with new accounts.
All I can say is that we're sorry and we know it's a problem. We are trying to find an adequate resolution but we don't have one at this time. In the meantime, please continue to report bots when you see them and if you need to, contact our Customer Service GMs who can action them via a Support Ticket with your evidence here: https://support.lineage2.com/hc/en-us.
I am also not an in-game enforcer but I will do my best to forward the issue of bots to our team that can take care of it.
Lastly, just to explain that we are doing things to combat bots, we banned 496 accounts for botting in the last 24 hours.
Hi I just needed a little bit of help with an appearance stone that someone was trying to sell me? It said that the stone is not able to be traded or sold or dropped but the person who is selling it said they can "put it on no grade gear" and then sell it to me and then somehow I would get the stone off of that no grade gear? I don't understand how that would work and if it does work I would appreciate someone explaining it to me? Ive only been playing a year so I'm not familiar with everything! I would love to purchase the stone but i dont know if that is legitimate or not. Not trying to call anybody out I just would appreciate some information. Thanks so much, anyone. :-D

I've taken all I can take. The issue is not about afk exp bots. I'm pretty sure I speak for the entire l2 community, when I say we don't give a flying fig about exp bots. The problem is PVP SCRIPTERS. Start banning a few scripter accounts on all servers, some with thousands of dollars worth of gear, then something actually might change. The issue really is a few mouse clicks away. You ban someone who has spent thousands on gear, and money for scripts/*******, and they are not going to just start over and make a toon again, and it will start to send a message to others.
Edit: that's actually what we need is someone whose job it is to go around banning bots. Watch olympiad, CoC, or castle sieges on any server and its easy to detect who the botters/scripters are. I'm sorry but producing this game can't take someone 40 hours a week, I doubt it takes 10 hours. Plenty of time to do something useful and start banning pvp scripters

Hi again Luczin, by "we" I mean the GM team who specifically works on botting/scripting issues within all our games. However the number I provided was specific ONLY to Lineage II. Additional accounts were banned for our other games as well.

All I see is escuses and most of the "we banned 1000 players including top ones" and not giving names end up being unbanned (cause suicide letter etc.)

The Museum Statistics you could access via the statues in the towns or via the control panel were based off the server data. During HighFive update on Teon server I personally witnessed how GM's/GSU monitored and dealt with PVP soft users during Sieges & Territory wars for approx 1 Month, mind you in those days the PVP was about 200+ vs 200+ players. They just temp banned on the spot many cheaters and word got out really fast and many other cheaters relogged and continued PVP legitly which was significantly different from how PVP normally went down - a sight to behold let me tell you that as suddenly certain awesome players were not so awesome any more.
Now the reason as to why that was done only for such a short time is most likely due to it's resource intense cost picture as it takes quite some hands on work etc. but there's the clincher for NCWest nowadays as L2 earnings results is a matter of public record and we know how much is being made from NC Store etc. sales and no way you can NOT afford to invest in 1 or 2 dedicated GM's to deal with this issue that has been a plague for so long.
If NCWest is afraid to ban that many players, as let's face it there are many many ppl using un authorized software to advance their L2 gaming experience, then just implement a 3 strike system. When end game players realize they can't cheat anymore without risking to loose thousands of $$ in gear/time investment in their 103/104 chars they will stop cheating after the 2nd temp ban 100% guaranteed.
If for what ever reason NCWest is not willing to actually invest in their own game anymore then just allow everyone to use the PVP software so that the playing field gets equalized, right now there's an huge imbalance which has only gotten worse and worse over time and unless you're willing to just unplug the servers it's way past time something is done about it.
With all respect to you as new game administration member we need here respond from Juji himself. we all as L2 players in this 12 years (some all time some last years) know the this game is noting w/o players so we must get some respect from game administration and person from there (Juji in this moment) to come here and talk with us for this bot problem. The Museum Statistics you could access via the statues in the towns or via the control panel were based off the server data. Hi Yidao, just want to make sure you understand since there's been a fair amount of misinformation going on and demands that are directed incorrectly.
As for your suggestion regarding Gainak farmers, that is not how the system to deal with bots currently works. We get rid of the people and they do come back as they are sometimes hacking their way to get back to higher level and get the gear.

Again, we do know that bots are an issue and we're doing everything in our power on NCWest's side to do what we can.
Since I myself am still fairly new I'm still trying to get a better understanding of what's been done and what the plans are to be done in the future so that we can better communicate that to you, the players, to add a level of transparency that will hopefully help you all understand better.
In the meantime, we have had several meetings this week with the main Lineage II dev team where we are discussing a variety of major topics such as upcoming content, events, and anti-botting features. When we're able to say more, we definitely will.

There is no way your anti bot protection alone will stop bots, only way to stop bots is to get GM who actually knows game, have time to check toons and have will to do it. Banning cheaters is really easy you just need time , knowledge about game and will to do it

They have banned 496 accounts for botting in the last 24 hours, but not one of the Gainak farmers who have been positively identified as botters by Juji more than a year ago is among those 496 banned accounts. At the latest when their losses have reached the 100k range even the dumbest cheaters will realize that there are better ways to spend their time and simply move on.

What's the point to ban 400+ accounts created just 1 week ago if you mean orc bots and dark elf summoners ?. Those guys don't lose anything so they come back again again and again. We want that you ban old players that have gears +8++++ that use bots to get profit or use pvp scripts. If you ban those guys with their gear. Those guys will leave forever and server will be clean of bots soon. But of course those top bots gain too much adena every week, and after they sell that adena for real money and buy some nc coins. And you priorice to gain a few $ from those guys that keep servers clean of bots.
If i was a gm and could decide what actions take this server will be clean of bots in less than 1 week.

Why to they not may ban? Sure they may ban IF THEY LIKE to do that. 2 year ago big forum pressure made to they ban martelex or w/e was that "pro" yull char with hidden skills and changed game. Forum community look for banned big "pro" heads and they must come. We not interest 1000 lv 20 baned chars. we interest 10 bans of auto chars in gainak dark stones farmers or 2-3 cleaned AF xp farmers partys per server. In this moment bots sty 1 month gainak made all pt dark set then they go 1 month in af make all 103-4 lvl and go after pvp with them when they even in pvp not use hands.... super gear, super lvl and no hands pvp...

Not impossible. NC does not even have to ban all of them.
Just ban a few of the big names, make announcements in game (best with name/clan etc.) so the word is out. In the past this has already been done (was it HGM Spam?) and it worked well.
Just make a banwave once a month or every two weeks (different times so its unpredictable) and make some noise about it every time so everyone will know there is a real risk and think twice what to do/not to do IG.
Also, NCSoft has shut down some script-selling websites in the past. This was a great move and they should continue.

No, server population will not go down at all, the opposite is true:
If they will actively fight bots and the word spreads, there will be an influx of returning players. Heck, I alone know dozens of players that stopped only due to bots/scripts. Many of them would return.
In addition each week we see posts of newbies on this forum that leave the game after some days/weeks shocked by the bot-infestment they face. Only few of them will care to post at all, most will just deinstall L2 in silence.
If the bots were gone, we would have so much more new players.
The sad thing is:
L2 is such a wonderful game! I play since 2005, but with many many breaks and mostly very casual. So, in my breaks I have tried out a lot of other games and some were nice, but none even came close to Lineage2. It still is simply the best game out there.

Objective reality is that the persons mentioned in that screenshot are script-supported farming Gainak. Objective reality is that an increasing number of players are leaving this game because of said bots and the economic situation with the dark stones they are creating. Objective reality is also that when Martel was banned, word got around and quite a number of old Teon players were suddenly around on Naia again (I can't speak for the other servers, but I guess the situation was similar).
As the posters above me said, banning a few well-known top cheaters will not only not lead to financial ruin but, on the contrary, probably increase the revenue. And if it should really lead to the shutting down of the servers - something that will sooner or later happen anyway - then so be it. Crime must be punished, no matter what the cost.

Sorry but this isn't true. I have a few friends who were recently banned (they didn't spend much nccoin). They lost some jewels which are hard to get, and they aren't coming back because it would be too hard to get the jewels back, and they don't want to put anymore money into L2. Can you imagine someone who actually put thousands into the game? There is no way most, if any, of them would come back just to pour thousands more into game to get all their lost gear. What you guys don't realize is by allowing pvp scripting/botting, you are killing the game. Look at reviews on steam, or posts from new players on these forums. I understand your fear of losing out of income from these scripters, but once word gets out players will actually come back to game. When they come back, they will buy xp runes, etc to level up.

I heard Elmar mention earlier that NCwest "is milking" L2 and Aion at the moment to fund their mobile branch ProjectS development.
Word on the street is that - after ProjectS has enough mobile games out there is no reason continue cashing out with L2/Aion West - and ultimately they would close the servers. The future is very dark for L2/Aion at the moment tbh.
According to April financial report -> ProjectS will finally have 3 games to put into market in q3 2016, and more in q4.
What it comes to KR Elmar is right: that being that there hasnt been any big updates in KR for a LONG time.
Also, as Elmar has mentioned before sub for L2 KR costs 30k Won per month (30usd) and at the moment the competition is very tight to be able to ask that amount of money for a game that is sinking.
My perspective on issue is that - IF L2 KR went f2p with some GoDlike update L2 might have some breathing air for a while. It would be atleast logical to try it since it "worked" in West.
There is even small amount of support/background implying this "might be the case" in that some time ago NCsoft did a enquiry from players about Class diversification etc. The last time they did so - they updated L2 into GoD. Just in time before L2 was completely dead in West (taken that even Echo clan had Aden castle in Teon/Naia).

1. Wildstar is basically not making any revenue at all if not going to worse constantly; and that they fired around 50% of the Wildstar Team few months ago. Some rumors say Wildstar will be closed down if not soon then after it has sucked enough Steam wallets.
2. L2 and Aion will indeed be closed after ProjectS is successfull.
3. If Lineage Eternal loses the fight for ARPG market and Lineage 1 drops down as well as a result it will be hard times for NCsoft.
4. and since GW2 has around the same profit rates as the two aforementioned its hard to tell what happens around there.
5. NCsoft already lost two VERY big names from Team Bloodlust and GW2. Especially the loss of Kim who is the genious behind L2 visual/graphical design in 2014 makes me think whether NCsoft will ever again be a top-dog in mmorpg's. The other big name being Colin Johansson who left GW2 earlier this year.
Maybe its necessary to pinpoint the point #3. As I see - Lineage Eternal is the successor of Lineage 1 that is still hugely popular in KR (I even see it one of the cornerstones of NcSoft; financially it has provided very fat steady income for over a decade). However - Smilegate is not going to make this transition very easy - to say the the least. Smilegate is working on its ARPG called Lost Ark with a team boasting more than 200 personnel. And this is not half-of-the-story. By this I mean that Smilegate has very-very good relations to Tencent that is by far the biggest publisher in Asia. When Tencent started to publish Smilegates fps game Crossfire in CN it gave Smilegate a hefty income of 300million USD from the first-year alone. Smilegate has literally sayd that they have ZERO projects running other than Lost Ark and that they will put all their money and egg's into this basket called Lost Ark.
Nevertheless - it gets even worse for NC. Tencent and Smilegate went back to business and they will publish Lost Ark in CN together. Tencent even went as far as making huge Lost Ark promotions on their websites etc to hype it already. You can only imagine how much revenue Smilegate makes from this co-op with Tencent to fight against Lineage Eternal and NC.

The only thing I can tell you is that as of today nothing has even been hinted that a major update is in the works. With only 14 developers (http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/%EC%A0%9C%EC%9E%91%EC%A7%84) left for the current verion of the game (and 5 for Lineage 2 Classic), I personally also don't see this happen. There hasn't been a developer interview since half an eternity - apparently there is nothing to communicate.
As for Lineage 2 going free to play in Korea, with the Arena System (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1639#p33308) that was introduced last week NCKorea went in the opposite direction. While on the regular servers the game is free to play until lvl 85 (which is why the developers are trying to fast-track everybody into the post-Awakenig pay-to-play range), you must have either have a subscription (30 dollars per month) or game time points for 60 minutes at 1 dollar per hour to get on the Arena server. Since you can participate in the Arena tournaments from lvl 1 onwards (all characters are set to lvl 1 anyway), this means a return to a pay-to-play system from the start. Tencent even went as far as making huge Lost Ark promotions on their websites etc to hype it already. You can only imagine how much revenue Smilegate makes from this co-op with Tencent to fight against Lineage Eternal and NC.

Objective reality is that the persons mentioned in that screenshot are script-supported farming Gainak. Objective reality is that an increasing number of players are leaving this game because of said bots and the economic situation with the dark stones they are creating. Objective reality is also that when Martel was banned, word got around and quite a number of old Teon players were suddenly around on Naia again (I can't speak for the other servers, but I guess the situation was similar).
As the posters above me said, banning a few well-known top cheaters will not only not lead to financial ruin but, on the contrary, probably increase the revenue. And if it should really lead to the shutting down of the servers - something that will sooner or later happen anyway - then so be it. Crime must be punished, no matter what the cost.

Oh well, shouldn't have cheated all those years. If banning cheaters like them causes servers to die than so be it.

Banning cheating people is not bad, problem is they are inconsistent in it.
Gm's ban people after some major updates and few weeks after updates GM's are not logging for months. This servers have bad reputation for being botlands for years and with good reason.Only way to get back people is to ban bots and to do it constantly not just once in 7-8 months. Even losing clans like nova/DH/Africa etc wont kill servers, more people left because of those scripted pvp toons that aren't banned
