So in average, with fancy rod we can make about 500 powerful fishes in week. (24/7 fishing).
It was 1500 elcyum powders. For an LS we need 5000. So it's about 4 weeks of fishing (24/7) with a fancy rod.

profit margins won't be enough to support the current cost of investment so either the price of Elcyum Powders will go drastically up, beyond this 4mil estimate of yours or people will stop fishing..
either way this was a severe blow to all legit players that were trying to make adena in the only way this game has left as open field raids are perma farmed by stacked chars and dragon / instanced raids etc drops are crazy bad these days

While you are factually correct, it appears you do not understand the reason behind this change.
You are guaranteed to sell [any amount of] PF for 500k adena/each. You are also guaranteed to sell [any amount of] EP for 2m adena/each.
Before the change, you could inflate [guaranteed sale] PF value to 1.5m by exchanging 4 PF (guaranteed 2m adena) for 3 EP (guaranteed 6m adena).
Now you no longer have incentive to exchange PF instead of selling to NPC directly. 4 PF are now 2m (12 PF = 6m) as intended.
The reference price in itself has no meaning in L2 economy, no matter how you look at it (okay okay, except during abu event). It's the guaranteed sale price (50% of reference price) that runs everything.

they tried to get rid of useless mass of toons logged (means electricity costs down) + lesser amount of loading means tha tthey can merge Naia and Freya, which is good for me
NCW is interested only in ppl engaged in PvP, and maybe PvE (since carebears help PvP ppl tobe exped and buy some pve stuff from time to time). All aside - is just electricity expenditures and stability issues.
GM you're forgetting some adjustments that still have to be made.

Ok, the maintenance is done, now we want the additional information on the exact depth of the change and the motivation behind it. I would also kindly ask you to please explain how does NCWest expect players to make adena when:
a) all traditional adena sources are nerfed to a point where they yield negative results.
b) Adena is not available to purchase on the L2store

What is the purpose of raiding a dragon or getting something accomplished if there's no reward at all?. Some sort of reward must be present, even if non monetary but something worth pursuing otherwise the game will be truly dead.

The good feeling you get by denying other players the dragon kill, of course. Shots are completely worth it!

Agree 100%. Last night I did a k85 with alts and a k95 run with mains (I 3 box). Two months ago I was making decent adena that allowed me to "progress" with these runs.
Last night, I got two modify armor scrolls. I can't even sell them to the npc. I sat there with my credit card in hand. Some player was shouting WTB 8k Ncoin 9 bill. For a second, I thought, let's make this happen. I could really use a anakim talisman. However, I just could not do it. I lost 250 USD a couple weeks ago on failed pvp cloak. 250 USD for a cloak that does nothing on a flash sale. Went +0 after >100 attempts. I refuse to spend another dollar on this L2 pvp pipe dream. Next month, maybe new T-shirts and underwear that make my +7 magic shirt obsolete? Wake up people. What fun is reaching for a credit card every time you want an item? For me, Zero. Items need to be obtainable in game. How hard is that for GM to understand?

Sorry if that wasn't clear, it's correct the rewards have been decreased over the years, this was done to combat bots from over farming Adena. But what I am saying is that I acknowledge it's an issue that I feel that it should be addressed by rolling back some of these changes or adding alternative system in their place. I will talk with the development team and our resources here to see how we can feasibly do this without giving bots too easy of a way to abuse it.

Drop rate can be nerfed any time, but increasing it requires a whole new level of programming.
Well, it's clear that NCWest's goal is to end this game, and today they must have set the goal of at least 30% (or more) of the players of all servers to quit the game and I believe that the goal has been achieved, as I said earlier, the NCWest staff has earthworms instead of a brain.
I thought Ncsoft would like to attracked more players so they can advertise that their game has for example 10.000 players and this would make more players to join game but nahhhh.
All companies who provide service or sell something usually they have some customer service but ncsoft does not care about their customers....

So since new players are not joining L2 and some of old players are quitting time after time, the game is going to an End.
