I would vote for a pvp server were you can buy everything up to +20’sets , dragon weapons from l2 store . Server will be x10.000 on everything and there will be sieges every 24 houres in only 2 castle . Dragons will be spawning only were the field bosses are spawning .
I think alot of us would love to get an update from Hime, Neutron, or Conguero regarding the status of L2 Classic.
Last we heard was that NCWest was considering it. Is there any update to that?
The status is that we're evaluating the feasibility of the project, we'll provide any updates on the Classic Server if and when we decide to move forward on it.

lies, a work on these matters wont take more than 2 weeks to make sure the project is feasible.
doing the business plan would take a little time too, what would take a lot of time would be to carry out the project

We'll have to agree to disagree there, maybe in an ideal scenario a project evaluation could be done that quickly but that simply isn't the case here.
I'd have to agree with Neutron here...
From an business perspective, NCWest's key issues come down to costs and expected revenue.
On the cost side, NCWest would need to cover Human Capital (Salary's of Community Managers and Support Staff), Licensing Fees (Classic Server License from NCSoft), and Technical Expenses (Hardware and Windows Server License).
While they might be able to synergize some of the costs by having Hime and Neutron could probably cover Lineage 2 and Lineage 2 Classic. However, the much larger issue would be the Classic Server License and Windows Server License. For most Windows-based IT Companies, licensing with Microsoft is one of the largest line items on an IT Budget. And none of us here have any idea on how much NC Korea is asking from NCWest.
The next issue is Expected Revenues. How do you successfully monetize the project? Having played Classic and knowing the community, in addition with looking at the size of Skelth, Chronos, etc, etc. You could probably estimate ~30,000 people **interested** in a North American classic server. However, how many would pay a "Founders Pack" or a "Monthly Fee"?
Maybe 4000 of the most dedicated would by a Founder's Pack for $40 to $60. And maybe 10,000 accounts would be subbed (Think Dwarf Shops, Dual Boxxers, Tri Boxxers)
So NCWest could expect an upfront revenue of maybe $200,000 and a monthly revenue of $150,000 the first few month. After that a linear decrease to a plateau of roughly 3000 active accounts ($45,000 per month) is a reasonable number. Is that enough to get them consider opening a server?
The problem with L2 Classic is that it's not the actual old Lineage 2 game people actually want. ( For those who want it )
Also WoW's problems and Lineage 2's problems are different.
The only thing destroying the game experience in Lineage 2 currently is the L2 Store. The core game is actually great, maybe better and more complex than ever.
If they launched a new server with no L2 Store ( or just cosmetics/account services ) and rebalanced drop rates, we'd once again have a truly enjoyable Lineage 2 game.
While WoW fundamentally changed for the worse over time and there isn't one thing you could do to save it. So going back to vanilla is the only way to give the players a true mmo experience that made them fall in love with WoW and mmos.
Also vanilla WoW was a very complex game with huge amount of content. While in the beginning, Lineage 2 was just a skeleton of a game. Which was fine at the time. But going back to vanilla wow and vanilla lineage 2 are two completely different things.
I'd play again if they had a L2 classic server. That would be awesome. But it would need to be speed up. I don't know if I could ever spend months grinding a level again hah.

Forget about the classic Neutron. 95% of players failed to achieve 105 legit with exp boost, yet they want classic. The only thing it will do is bringing all Russian no-lifers on the NA server for a while so that they can sell adena/items for USD (not that I complain).
I played on the Korean classic from the first day of the launch with some NA players, we were fortunate to meet all Russian no-lifers there as well. The gap between two regions is substantial.
In case you actually decide to launch classic, notify us beforehand about the chronicles.

Just a few points:
- NCWest Holdings is a fully owned subsidiary of NCsoft Corp.: http://global.ncsoft.com/global/ir/quarterly.aspx
They don't pay license fees. What they do is move money around between Aliso Viejo, San Mateo and Seoul as the situation requires.

Here's yet another really dumb statement written by Ox. Only this time, the GM said he disagrees with your delusional space-time fabric world. What the GM meant to say is.. "Are you that low IQ" in a very professional manner.
Go take a walk outside for some fresh air, then scream helplessly at the sky. I think you really need it.

Not quite. Out of a certain desire for harmony, and also because he sometimes gets carried away by his own enthusiasm for the game, Neutron, who is not a GM but Acting Producer of L2@NCWest, has a tendency to raise expectations that can't be fulfilled, causing disappointment and accusations of "lies" down the line. Therefore I personally think he should leave the talking as much as possible to Hime, who is an experienced Speaker-to-Animals. Compare for example Neutron's statement about drop rates on reward boxes as quoted here: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=294401#1
with Hime's very clear and unequivocal post here: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=294389&page=2#39
As far as the topic at hand is concerned, just look at the numbers. Mobile games (mainly Lineage M and the royalties from Lineage 2 Revolution) generate a monthly revenue of 180 million US dollars, having increased NCsoft's profitability from 1/10 of the gross revenue to 1/3: http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1974&start=130#p37379
What makes you think that anybody in California or Korea would consider for even one minute to launch another PC-based game for a measly 45,000 dollars per month?
u re pathetic, if u read his answer, u ll see that he still said that on an ideal scenario a project evaluation could be done that quickly.
i wont even waste more time quoting this piece of sh*t called miso.
neutron, stop lying to the kids, thats ugly.
u can tell them the truth, they are already addicted to the game, u can tell them all the ugly truth, that wont matter, they cant see past it.
by the way, that gabe excel table heuaheuaheauhe that was hilarious, from what i can see about these kids, it seems that they have never heard of itil nor pmbok, and if i hadnt spoken of these right now, i think that this subject would never appeared in this forum, since the level of knowledge of these animals goes beyond ignorance.

Are u okay?
Seems not.
NCW is a children company of NCKorea. what the hell you say?
All that u see here is only with acceptable from Korea main company.
Or u think Neutron made changes in game?
Neutron just a worker, who can be talk with main office (Korea), nothing more.

I agree with this... give us the current game with a subscription and cosmetic/services cash shop.
Only way to bring l2 back is to allow anyone to reach end game content. This is the only game that I played in my life that doesnt depend on skill, so its understandable that they have to make money somehow, but come you milked people enough, let everyone enjoy true l2 experience before we die.
I played CSGO for these past few years and they introduced these skins, where you buy a key and you open cases, and if you get a nice one you can use it/sell it but it doesnt affect gameplay in anyway, and VALVE makes millions from this, so maybe there are other ways you can make money is all im saying.
Blizzad can open whatever server they want easily but not Ncwest,
After the death of mxm they shoul have known by now it is not about the game itself but a company reputation....reputation of ripping they customer base,
No one wanna play with a greedy company and their lag of business ethic.
Classic WoW can work (and probably will) because Blizzard knows how to run a business and care about their loyal community. Classic L2 is for those who miss the days before all the pay-to-win and GoD/kamael ********. Look at NC West right now, do you seriously believe these guys can manage a classic server? They can't even come up with a single event that makes sense and that isn't completely rigged to take our money and screw us over.. They are already killing this game, do you really want them to annihilate L2 Classic's image too? lmao.
