It's pretty obvious that the big announc supposed to be a launch of PTS. So lets speculate what caused the delay of PTS launch which in turn will delay live launch as well.
My guess would be: GoD will launch together with F2P model and they need extra time finalizing details etc
My second guess would be enjoy your free months of AION time as they already scrapped l2 and just delaying wave of rage.
When RU servers started they have delay in updates comparing with NA. Some updates ago they start to launch updates before us. What we can see - RU population is very big and growing (startup of new servers) but on NA/EU we have decrease of population (merges >.<), so math tell me that RU bring much more money and they can do even more if new update will be released on RU before EU/NA and in same time this will not affect NA/EU exept some QQ on this forum.
My guess:

Another guess: cross-server wars could be one of a few "big good things" they wanted to deliver, but then NCsoft realized we don't have too many servers for some reason. :o
Of course it goes without saying that GoD PTS should be postponed for as long as necessary to deliver a quality product.
Btw it is a common opinion among Ru.off players that NA PTS has always been far superior compared to theirs: yes they got the new stuff first, but suffered from too many bugs and those bugs rarely made it to NA PTS.

So true man, so true. It's ok though we finally got a response today after 12 pages, however it didn't really tell us anything at all as surprising as that is. Not gonna lie though NCWest has "THE" worst developers of any game. Even Vindictus a F2P game from Korea gets faster English localization for their game and I bet they have a much smaller team as well.

If it is GoD PTS, just release it already... It is called Public Test Server for a reason. It is not suppose to be a Public Temporary official Server, so it ought to have bugs and needs fixing.
The issue of the delay wasn't caused by things being 'not ready' in the sense that it would only take a few more hours to complete; it was a sudden change in plans entirely, and we are still waiting for the changes to be finalized. I'm afraid I cannot give any more information (or announcements) until then. In the meantime I am reading the forums and collecting a summary of the concerns and reactions of the player community to the last few days.

I'm really glad to hear that news as I was starting to think that you were going to announce the PTS, but after reading all the insults on the forums NCsoft decided they were going to close down NCWest instead. Oh wait.. just reread what you said, and it still sounds plausible. **** obsession with conspiracy theories! *bangs head on desk*
Please tell me that NCWest is still making a decent enough profit for them to put up with us, and that the server isn't being solely fueled by the last fumes of goodwill? There is no ETA at this time. We are also working out the kinks that caused the last delay in the hopes of avoiding any further delays after we announce any ETAs.

Dunno what is Vindictus, but "localization" for L2 mean not just translation but also code changes. However I dont belive that it takes so much time. I think there are agreement between each of L2 company about delays in updates. And this delays planned to maximize income for each company.

It was announcement (blue text) about date of GoD live. GoD live client already available for download or update and game servers already down for GoD installation. Actually yes, there is no information about GoD live on main l2.ru page but I think it will be posted when servers will be up.

If it is GoD PTS, just release it already... It is called Public Test Server for a reason. It is not suppose to be a Public Temporary official Server, so it ought to have bugs and needs fixing.
That is my point. Who care about some minor bugs on PTS? I spot only 1 issue on RU PTS - summons dont have attack/skill buttons and need to create macros to control them.
But this dont prevent my party from testing each class and define structure for our party in GoD. And now we already know who will take what class in GoD (like OL will become tank, etc ...). Also we use PTS to check how to make quests fast and how to obtain new items.
So, again - PTS dont need to be perfect.

This delay makes me think that the big anouncement is not the PTS release time. Maybe it is a pre-awakening event (that helps players familiarize with GoD environment), as they had in Korea before GoD PTS.
well it would be great if we could since now to prepare our subs. Some ppl has double class in subs and must w8 GOD to correct this. Me for instance with a spoiler + a dagger in sub... if I could change this dagger now it would be great :)

For NA/EU nothing change if GoD installed before or after RU. It will be ~same amount of players paying same amount of money.

You have wrong timing for HFp4 and HFp5 on RU.
PTS was announced as "having bugs that will be fixed on live". So I coming back to question - who care about bugs on PTS? NC NA\EU afraid of players finding bugs on PTS?)))

Correct me if I'm wrong but I guess we got ALL High Five Patch at once. The only thing we got from part [insert fav number here] at different times was the login screen...
That being said, although many of you don't believe, maybe they'll use that time "waiting for something else to be OK for us to go on" to implement Harmony as well... As for the changes I've seen "Harmony" bringing, I guess they are almost needed on GoD. They seem like an undeniable part of it.
Also, "Harmony" is a minor patch... It would be easy to implement it along with GoD and then await for the next major update to go live in Korea in January 2012.

yes, that is right. First of all because we not really had any extra bonuses from items shops or from premium accounts. Here goes everything slower, so as I personally heard from many peoples too, they told, they happy, that the GD still not arriving, cuz they still want improve their characters to be better before the GD.
BTW, I just can repeat myself NCsoft told "fall in this year" so until December 31st goes this time period, so they are in time.

Do not kid yourself, people are ready for GoD and most players do not want doubles exp. Those who wanted to reach up to his character already done so. Many people just vegetate and logs at the Farm just epcic boss, you also can get boring. We need a concrete answer to NCsoft, what about GoD ... we must wait a month or more. Dunno who need this x2 events, ppl want new update. I know a lot of ppl who log just for important events like mass pvp, epics, sieges, tw and no more but on RU pts all come to play.

I have a bad feeling a bout the second one... still not even tomorrow's maintenance announcement yet, no forum activity since one week. Like they were all busy on "a big plan".
