Late this bug appeared on NC West and Innova eu servers
Probably this bug was also on Korea but the fact that it was already abused on Russian servers its a proof that they were aware of it.
Can NC West/Innova fix it? No they aren't messing with the code.
But why we didn't get a patch for this fix? I am pretty sure its fixed in Korea. They could send a patch for this bug in the same way they did with Light Armor Mastery that is a Harmony patch.

Yes it would be nice if ncsoft could find these cheat botters. You stated they don't have the tools but they do have the tools to find who purchased adena from adena sellers. Given they put so much programming into the new release of the game I'm sure they could have done something to find out who is using what.
But then again like you said server numbers count from a tactical marketing point of view be it legit or non legit player. I bet they are cautious on who to ban especially those with plenty of real life $$$.
Given so many years have lapsed it's still sad to see that ncsoft has not done anything to counter ranger apps. It amazes me that the player base is a step further by creating bot and ranger apps and ncsoft can't do anything about it.
Now those apps are also being used on Aion and probably on most ncsoft apps. Kinda makes you think it's a staffing issue where they probably don't have the funds to counter these issues on a daily basis compared to other popular mmo brands.

I do not believe you have the correct XP charts. And for the record the XP was removed. I lost almost 60%. I am quite confident i lost more then I gained. Not that I am crying about it mind you, just stating the facts.

NCWest does not maintain any programatic control over there software. I believe they are completely powerless and let NC distribute and handle the code. It probably means they have not patched it for the primary servers yet even..

I believe that is correct, but additionally note that the initial ban and tying penalties is normally relative to the severity of the infraction. I think they also do 1-3 day bans too. I don't know where there is an official policy here though for NCWest, it's most likely internal.

Lineage 2 is not a competitive game, humans may be competitive by nature and they project that upon their surroundings. Not everyone plays the game competitively. Granted everyone enjoys the game differently, and you find enjoyment in competition -- but don't dilute reality. The mechanics are there, yes, but we're the ones that make the choice on how to utilize them.

Nobody is jealous. It irritates me because I've played legit since beta and then he cheats and gets a slap on the hand for it. It has nothing to do with envy of a cheater.

I'm just extremely annoyed with the extent of arrogance shown by members of an aforementioned clan in the past, when they proclaimed themselves "the top pvp clan" yet they have never, ever, accomplished anything without insane amounts of blatant cheating.
The only time they could really prove something on a roughly equal playing ground was the launch of GoD, when everyone was forced to start from the same level. Guess what, they've failed everywhere be it Olympiad or sieges, in spite of having trillions worth of gear and stuff. How ridiculous was that?
They repeatedly refused to make their castle siege time more acceptable for the opposing side considering the time zone difference (while talking about boredom due to having no attackers), they claimed to have warred the entire server while in fact they've directly recruited a half of their enemies, but as soon as the opposition started to catch up they began leaving the server.
And before our overzealous moderators jump over to clean the thread from "personal accusations" I must emphasize that there is no clan called "Nova". It's just a euphemism to symbolize the most infamous, cheating, cowardly clan in NA whose name must not be actually mentioned, because they do not deserve anything, even in the terms of the forum flame. By the way, even their forum spokesmen with thousands of posts were always afraid to disclose their in-game names: I guess, it's due to the fact they had nothing to be proud of other than dozens of banned toons.
Most players will figure out who I am talking about, the rest should sleep well: there is no actual name calling in this message. :)

And this has been stated countless times already in this thread. Their ban is over as has the punishments been handed out. NC made an example of them and that was their warning basically. At this point people don't care anymore because its simple to start over and be right back where you were. This story reminds me of when a whole bunch of HonorGuardian cheaters got rolled off the server hardcore. But that was quite some time ago.

Yes some of us did not want to play the game along with botters and ebayers and quitted. Some of us stayed but deliberately removed ourselves from pvp-related content to not give the satisfaction to the prevailing cheaters. And to make them bored, of course. That's how we "cheated" the cheaters, so yes, you are right in a certain way.

People been doing star bug for years (for some reason, just now NC decided to fix it up), I think you missing the point LiboFFS is trying to make, perspective. There is a reason why there is different type of punishment for as you say "same exploits".

If I was in your position, I would have abused it too; I'm not denying that. What I am laughing at is how weak the punishment was for the majority of players that pariticipated in the exploit. They were given a nice advantage over everyone below level 90 and were barely punished for it.

A punishment would be to take all that, not a fraction, not half, all of it and then 2 more lvls, half the adena on their inventory and the SA and element from their weapons (extreme punishment for example purposes, or not) that might have some impact and maybe just maybe will make people think twice before exploiting anything.
In any case them flooding the market allowed me to get cheaper weapons for people in clan so w/e floats ncsofts boat.
Also kudos to hypnocrit for admiting what he/she did, most people that get caught come up with the lamest excuses, honesty is kinda nice to see.
People need to stop pretending that we know what in the game is and isn't working as "intended". NCSoft rarely communicates with the community, and in the rare instances one of them does, it's too late or too little.
Case in point. The vitality system. When everyone was complaining that the vitality potions didn't restore full vitality, it seemed like things weren't working as intended. Oh, but wait, they were. NCSoft just didn't let us know for a week or two later. And instead of changing it for the better, like a real company that cared would, they stuck us with the bad, or the easiest fix possible. Similar things have been happening since. Tersi's Light event making the servers full? Don't change anything, just turn it off, it's easier! They flip-flop like this constantly with various in-game issues, so it doesn't make sense to me that everyone is supposed to know somehow when something is working as intended and when it's not.
It's also funny to me that some people's arguments are that we should know because that's the way it is on the Korean servers (Because all of us are intimately familiar with their servers, since we play there), when there's been dozens of instances where things on our servers are different from theirs.
How many problems since GoD launched have been blamed on translation errors? I don't exactly sympathize with the Spezion exploiters, but if we were able to do Spezion more than once a day, I would've just assumed it was another translation error, since that's been the trend lately.
I imagine that the purpose of this thread was never to educate us, or communicate with us, but rather to temporarily redirect the communities negativity and complaints. The thread is 16 pages long with about 15 of those pages being in violation of the forum rules and guidelines on personal attacks, accusations, and discussion of third party programs!
There can't be excuse like "I didn't know it wasn't meant so" http://legacy.lineage2.com/gd/zones.html#prison last line clearly says "The Spezion raid resets once per day."(so formerly you're informed even before the launch of the goddess) You have to be total imbecile to "assume" it was supposed to be zerged on 30 mins. And if you are NCSoft aren't obliged to dismiss it like and "error". And if you haven't read it it's your own fault. If we follow the same logic every1 can just use bots/scripts/radars/clickers or whatsoever and then say " i didn't know (haven't read) that 3rd pt software was forbidden" or "i didn't know what 3rd party software mean". Yes it says the exploit is banable but the best punishment woulda've been to strip their charrs to clean inventory. Just some adena for ports and not even for D grade armor. Also all skill enchants reset to 0 and then let them have fun at lvl 95+ w/o any gear.

Did NCSfot public annoucned that they changed ban policy ? NOPE

Dunno how many times we have been through this guys but here it is.
1) NCSoft did not declare this as an issue or an exploit until there were at least 4+ parties of people who had gained from it.
2) My party did not know this was an exploit until 2 days before the bannings, and we did off course stop doing it and have not done it since.
3) NCsoft will not permenant ban based on there game screwing up and players not having a clean line of what is right and what is wrong as perceived rule. Now that it is a well known problem with the game, I am sure that people will get permenantly banned should they use it belligerently.
4) had you discovered this issue yourselves more then 60% of you would have done the same no questions asked, and some of the ones making the biggest complaints at the moment would have done the same if in my shoes, and are now calling me a Hypocrit?(which ryhmes with my name oddly enough).
