In relation to the introduction of the Elemental Shirts of the Gods and the Blessed Enchant Scrolls for them: a few weeks ago a NPC in-game sold regular Elemental Enchant scrolls, but this dialogue and purchase link was removed. A small number of scrolls had already been purchased, however, so with today's maintenance those scrolls have been removed and the buyers have been compensated with the Adena of their cost (8,888 Adena per scroll). Thus, players can enjoy the relief of keeping their Elemental Shirt by using only Blessed Scrolls: Enchant Elemental Shirt.
The following bug fixes were applied:
Fixed the incorrect rewards for the Liberating the Spirits quest.
Fixed the issue in which mana consumption would not decrease and damage would increase if the Sigel Knights Shield Charge skill was enchanted for mana cost.
Fixed the issue in which the Break Duress skill would be unable to cancel the Entangle skill.
I'm sure people are curious to know, will the first batch of server transfers happen with this weeks maintenance? I couldn't find anything but I will go double check some other threads to be certain.
The Summer Squash event (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/events/summer-squash-jul-25-aug-15-2012.php) enters its final stage: event items no longer drop from monsters. All other event functions continue. Please be sure to use all your event items, and open your Squash jewelry boxes before the maintenance next week, on August 15, 2012.
The Summer Warfare events (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/events/summer-warfare.php) continue! Going on now is the Battle of Chaos: participate in the Ceremony of Chaos during the event period for a participation prize, and more.
The L2 Galleria and L2 Store get a store update! Stay tuned tomorrow for the full details on the new items. When this maintenance begins, Armor Seal Scrolls (R-grade and higher), Weapon Seal Scrolls (R-grade and higher), and the Summer Pack cease to be available for purchase.

Since the bug come from users using 3rd party software to farm them, I doubt we will see one day a solution. Mostly because they can't reproduce the bug and because the Korean Dev Team may not have the best experience regarding 3rd parties software : they just don't use them in Korea (which is a sign of superiority from their point of view, confirming that America is a low country where players need tools to play and win).

bots are not at all with the error and not because they
That is something we are working on, but it is not related to server maintenance.
Can we at least increase the number of block-able char? Currently it is limited to 128 and everyday I have to remove about 10 in the list in order to block new adena spammers in towns. Without doing so, it is impossible for me to read any text in shout or trade

How can you know if koreans don't use bots? Maybe less and maybe GMs in korea login more than 1 time a year. Maybe the GMs have more power to ban in Asia etc. Maybe westerns have more real life activities than koreans. I don't believe in this grass is green on the other side mentality. If NC korea has all the power in this company then they fail to provide the correct training, tools and funds for NC west. The failure is mostly theirs, if they have all the power.
The problem, that what those Adena seller companies, players makes in this game I guess it is out of the hand of the NCsoft, here the NCsoft and the players should turn to police, court, United States or European Union to make something against these persons, companies.
When those persons in the towns sends you PM, that buy adena from them, what is an illegal action, this would be enough reason for a player to turn to the court against this adena seller company.
It is simply too much what the cheaters, farmers does in the Lineage II and/or in many another games.
The NCsoft can make the next steps to block the bots:
1. Reduce the dual box usage per IP address to 3 maximum (or ask extra fee to use dual boxes, 1 or 2 box free anothers need additional payment).
2. Maybe take back the Pay to play system again (what I think isn't good idea if they already changed to f2p).
Also would have a time kind of big ban hammer times as was on the winter.

Well, Korean citizens are required to use their ID to register to online games. If you get banned, your ID is banned, and thus you can't play a single MMO ever again. They don't want to risk their favourite pastime just for using bots.
Besides, they have a strong player community, and they're more social-oriented than us, since they play mostly from cyber-cafes, while westerners play from their personal computers. They don't have any need to box or use bots, since they always find live people to play with.
If people STOP buying Adena eventualy the spammers will give up and move to other games
my own 2cents
(the above statement is not in fond of NCSoft nor i am justifying them, since they should already have found a solution)

WoW actually has an ad-on that filters the gold selling spam bots. I'm sure NCSoft could deliver something like this to us.
The gold selling bots get creative though, like I have a screenshot I'm looking at from WoW where a bunch of lvl 1 taurens came in town and died in perfect formation for a link to the gold selling site....lol I would post it here but I think it might be frowned upon by Sace since it's not L2 related and more or less contains a link to the site in question, even though it's in dead tauren form :P

They still do that?

Bah and still no drops from Sel Mahum Squad Leader all the way through event period.
I quit WoW when SWToR came out and as of then, you could still goto the major cities and see them doing it.
The one thing WoW did right was "Report Spam" button which would auto ignore the spammer on a separate list and if they get reported enough a chat ban would go into place. Maybe that could be a solution here?

the west is half the world, korea is a small country. Also koreans play much more this game. I prefer not to box, in the new game it is sometimes impossible, but if you wait 1h+ for an ISS 90+ to do some lame kartia. Yes I box if I could. Private servers deal better with bots and their a lots of other games played in the west that seem to have almost no bots. It doesn't require court, just a GM who is working all day, walking through the areas and ban.

That is correct. Some weeks ago someone posted in the "Juji's Lab" section a request to test girls, how to find them. Juji at the time deleted the request as not feasible for testing. The correct answer would have been: spend your next vacation in Korea, go to a cyber-cafe and play Lineage 2. I mean this very seriously. In a restrictive Confucian society like Korea cyber-cafes are, apart from school/university, among the few places where boys and girls can meet without causing raised eyebrows among their elders. The person-to-person interaction is far more important to them than gaining exp or acquiring adena. Or to put it another way, having a life buffer of the opposite gender sitting next to you is simply more fun than triple-boxing from your parents' basement.
For most of the Korean players botting is not even a consideration. Having a +8 armor set (http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=849#p12874) is not why they play the game; it's just a side effect :)
That having been said, they do have some farmer bots, called "autos" (from "automated characters") over there. But for those anti-social elements there is a dedicated Task Force (전담팀) within the GM Team which has the only duty to monitor bot activity 24/7: http://www.inven.co.kr/board/powerbbs.php?come_idx=390&l=961
In other words, NCKorea does bot hunting primarily by actual on-site observation, GMs identifying bots with their own eyes. This is more effective than at NCWest where the GMs only look at bot reports from players a few times per day, then needing to verify them via server logs: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=240608
Therefore they have objectively less bots than over here (check the non-existing adena spam in the chat window on their screenshots). The grass is greener on the other side :D
Now back to the bugged Energy Seeds. Laby (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=243861#8) has it right. Sace, being ex-QA, could probably explain this better, but basically it goes like this:
We, the players, report a problem to the Customer Support Department via tickets. Customer Support tries to extract as much information as possible and then passes everything on to the Quality Assurance Department. There they try to reproduce the bug, type up a report and send that together with documentation (QA server logs etc.) to the Development Department in Seoul. There the developers put the problem on their to-do list (http://lineage2.plaync.co.kr/board/update/viewNotice?articleId=514169), dealing with it as they find the time, prioritizing issues which seriously endanger the balance of the game.
In this case we have consistent reports that immediately after a server restart the Energy Seeds work fine. It's only after some time that you get the system message about another player harvesting the Seed. This suggests that there is nothing wrong with the game itself, but that it's players who are the problem. On the QA server in Austin they do not have misbehaving players, so they can not reproduce the bug. There is nothing they can forward to Seoul, and when you check the development department's to-do list I have linked above, the bugged Energy Seeds are not a "known problem" (알려진 문제) for them. They either do not know about it at all, or they say that the game is fine - banning 3rd party software users is something NCWest must do on their own. Do not deceive yourselves. Korean players contribute about 2/3 of NCsoft's revenue, Europe+North America around 7%: http://global.ncsoft.com/global/ir/quarterly.aspx
We are nothing but a footnote for them :p
Any word on what the % chance is to enchant these *coughPowercough* Elemental Shirts beyond 3?
I'm assuming it's the same low % to get beyond 5, and if you buy the 30-pack of blessed scrolls, I'm guessing the chance to get a +7 shirt is lower than using several packs to enchant your own.
I'm not necessarily complaining; rather, if I'm going to gamble $52.50, ($15 for a shirt and $37.50 for 30 scrolls), I'd like to at least know my odds...

May be because I had the opportunity to speak with several people concerned and up to date about those topics ?
Surprise ! Some people can know more than you :)
Yeah those koreans are so much better than the rest of the us. They are angels riding on unicorns through the forest. That they get prosecuted by korean law has nothing to do with it.

I noticed that the clan pet took 8 Mysterious Marks from me. The NPC says 4 Mysterious marks, anyone had this problem?

LOL talk about finding out at the very end.
Do you mean that you purchased a clan-exclusive pet supposedly for 4 Mysterious Marks, but instead 8 Mysterious Marks were withdrawn? If you're certain, please contact support (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/) about this, and include your server name and character name so we can check on it.

Yup it took 8 Mysterious Marks. I'm submitting a ticket.
