Last year in February, I felt nostalgic and thought I listen to some good old LineageII music. I don't know why but some part of me was craving for it...the music from hunter's village and elf's village...ahhh.... So, I googled the key word, "lineage2" and to my surprise, not only did I find some music but also found out... Free-To-Play here at NCwest! "FREE??? WOW! Why not! I will take it!" was my initial response and my saga began.
At the beginning, I tried the game old fashion way. My first toon was Feoh Storm and it was hard. I followed the path of awakening quest chains, picked up every drops, did all the dailies and still ran out of Adena for shots...So I made 3 x toons in 3 x different accounts and did the level 65 Goddard dailies as a 3 men party, just so that I could buy shots for my feoh and level him...almost 2 weeks to make him level 85. Eventually, I made many Level 85s to do Zaken and etc. but was in the state of huge disappointment... on how the game has become. Just low drops of adena and items in general and my feoh in Mentee requiem weapon & immortal set did so little damage, even killing the mobs at altar of evil (LvL85 Area) was hard. To kill each mob, it took 5-6 shots even with arcane power. 800 adena per shot x 5 = 4,000 adena and they dropped like...200 adena per kill and some didn't drop anything at all...
So I began my writing here at the forum with the intention of changing the game in the right direction but i must admit, it was mostly about expressing my anger and frustration on how the game has become...
I started spending real money in Nstore for 2 reasons.
1. Only the players who spend money matters for NCsoft - I wanted them to take me seriously. If $10 a month = 1 vote, then $100 a month = 10 vote?
was my reasoning. I played their games and shared my results here at the forum while continued providing them with ideas that I thought were good for Lineage2...
It wasn't about showing off how much money I had...it was about ridiculing low chances of Nstore events and promos but apparently some people started to see me in the wrong way.
2. I am an old man now, not as young as in my 20s. Grinding for farming...yeah I've done it in the past but I am not so young any more and most importantly don't got 24/7 to play LineageII any more...like I used to. It's like I can spend 100 hrs farming in Lineage2 or I can work 1 hr in real life and just pay Nstore, and they both produce the same results.
Yeah, a lot of times I was upset and disappointed about their chances, almost to the point, the events had some bugs in them which they didn't know! and I had to tell them!
When I first started writing here at the forum, I had noticed how deserted forum was...it was like 1 new post every 2 weeks?...almost. Anyways, I didn't care if somebody read or not, I just wrote and wrote for months..until people started reading and replying and even posting their own threads. Yeah, some liked my writings and many didn't but in the end, it all worked out to be O.K. I think. We got people in the forum now and I see many returners in Lineage2.
At the beginning, people told me, "Why are you writing this? Don't you know NC never reads the forum?" "No matter what we talk about here, nothing will ever change. You are just wasting your time." Yeah...it was quite discouraging but I just kept moving forward...taking the hits.
However, what I didn't know and expect was my impact on the game. Prior to the last years hungry horse event, I criticized Low event chances over and over almost everyday like minimum 10 x posts a week, that last year the hungry horse gave 10 X soul fragments and many tauti, kelbim weapons...the server had the abundance of soul bottles and fragments that Valakas bottle was 1B and anthy bottle 1.5B and kelbim daggers selling at
4-5B and tauti 6-7B. Same thing at alien event...just better chances than previous events. But this year? I made a post on NO more Kelbim and Tauti, and to my surpise...They actually listened! This year's hungry horse event had No kelbim or Tauti and only 1-3 soul fragments instead of 10 x frags last year LOL!

Now you people need to understand, when I make a post crying about low chances of something, it's in your best interest to support me and cry with me. I tried to improve the success chance of making the Longing talisman but apparently failed cuz so many people didn't support my claim...You know something? Unless we make demands to NC, nothing will change. So, I guess nuffed longing chances will stay the same, and no1 will try to make Desire

I even tried to improve Tank Class by making fun of how low damage they do...again, you were supposed to cry with me, not against me if you ever wanted tank class to have better damage, enough so that they never lose aggro to any DD and enough so that they can solo in 100+ areas.

After this post, many veteran L2 players left the game, selling the Bloody&Dark gears cheap, not just in NCwest but in Korea also...yeah apparently some Korean people took my writing to their heart and even translated and paraphrased my writing in their Korean Lineage2 forum. The consequence of this was... Lost Adena value by 50% and 50% lost price value of Bloody & Dark Gears in Korea since many..many people left Lineage2. When I realized this, I had to do something. Damage control? yeah, my recently posts have been pro-NCsoft, hoping to heal the wounded hearts of Lineage2 players. Sigh...
LOL sorry if I sound like crazy and taking the credit more than I deserve. To be honest, I don't think I am the 100% reason behind the actual things happening but I think I make that initial 1%, the seed of original thoughts, and there seem to be smarter people out there who know how to continue, fill in the gaps and improve my ideas making the other 99%.
Sorry people that I don't have +10 shirt LOL! I don't know where you got the idea but now I only spend Ncoins only when it's worth spending. I am not addicted to gambling no more. I mean look at the skills of shiny elemental shirts, 25-30 minutes CD??? Are you kidding me? 25-30 CD is like one time use only; so to me, those are nice toy-skills for fun, nothing more and definitely not worth spending Ncoins when considering how ridiculously low chance they were last year. Yeah...Last year I failed like 6 times trying to make +7 and I got so mad that I didn't even try for +7 after. Instead I have 8 x +6 shirts on alts & +7 maphr's shirt on dorfie now. so 8 x +6 and 1 x +7 from last year for me. This year? I didn't bother. (If 5-10 minute CD, then yeah I would've gone for +10.)
Anyways, I feel more responsible now for what I write. I just thought I explain some stuff to the people who are new to the forum.
