Week 2: Saturday, Sept. 30 00:00 until Sunday, Oct. 1 23:59

In addition, there will be no fee for Augment removals for the duration of Hungry Horse IV.

While preparing the event, the Dev Team discovered an issue with his some of his possible spawn locations resulting from the Grand Crusade update. Unfortunately, this issue cannot be tested and resolved in time for next week’s release. Although Hungry Galup’s surprise appearance was fairly rare and accessible to a small number of players, it still provided an additional opportunity for players to gather Carrots in the world. In the absence of Hungry Galup, we hope that the overall benefits gained from this year’s enhanced bonuses will continue to make your participation in this event worthwhile.
Carrot collection is otherwise unchanged from last year. Monsters in all hunting zones will drop them, or they can be purchased on the L2 Store at 10 NCoin for 40 and 800 NCoin for 4,000. So this means, that Carrots will only be obtainable from mobs (1:1?) and L2Store? What kind of BS is this? Why don't you put the pouches, that the horse would drop on mobs then? Another "Event" where only the NCoin spenders benefit from again.

Ever wondered if you had not tested the event that will come here on Wednesday? To the point of having another 20-page topic in the forum regarding the disappearance of the hungry galup from the open-fields zones.
In my opinion, you could very well cancel this event and give credibility in re-launching the same event in the coming weeks, and properly corrected.
Although I believe that some other player may suggest the increase of carrots acquired via farming via the absence of galup pounches, one has to think.

You realize that the link which was provided, was only to show the horse appearance change, how it was at previous hungry horse event? Therefore not updated prize list obviously.
It's getting harder every week to do adena in the game.
There are no more energy elements in SOA, there is no longer the old drop rate of Adena, when the great wave of bots appeared, the good drops were removed, but now that there are no more bots, they have not replaced the drops as before.
Removing the Auto Macro will help to avoid again the automatic way of making adena and items.

The question you should answer before anybody spends any money on Carrots is, will the Agathion Bracelet be automatically converted into an Agathion Charm (which players then have to insert into a Seed Bracelet; see the discussion on Rochand), or will the Agathion Bracelet vanish on update day and players have to get the newfangled Agathion Charm on their own in the next event?

I've added additional stat info for these items to the page. Right now I can't speak to how they might be affected in a future update, if at all. I'm not aware of any plans in this regard.

It is designed to spend the hero coins, as in the last event and not get HEWR, mystic SA, etc.

I can not get it too. There are ppl in the game which depends on event like this. The only way to at least be able to buy SOME items. You said as zem1 said, there won't be any major changes and you killed the last Hungry Horse event. It was better to make us wait to get it fixed, because what you did is NOT giving us the Hungry Horse event at all. And by the way, any reaction on ppl posts will may be explain something to some on us.

When predicting the future, the best thing to do is review the past.
When they made armor able to go dark or bloody, did they do anything to keep clean armor relevant? Nope, its useless.
When shiny shirts came out, were the old ones worth anything? Nope.
When Fishing event was turned into Websters definition of fraud, anyone going to fish ever again? Nope.
When broke back cloaks came out, is there any reason to ever use the castle one anymore? Lulz, and I thought the shirts were broken.
L2 history suggests that, even if the item is maintained, its market value/slot value is minimized. Even if you keep it, you will no longer want to use it given the choice.

Well hugry horse is dead this time...and he took in grave all carrots.I would like to buy some with nc coins but i dont know i dont trust you anymore.Maybe i will loose my nc and wont get anything ,really its big risk maybe more than enchanting cloaks isnt it?Really i dont understand why you wanna make all ppl stop playing and dont help new players at all .Some pvp while hunting horses and many of them was earning some adena .New player was waiting to get r grade from some carrots.I had someone in my clan and he is 85 and i told him you can earn some adena for r grade with carrot event.He is dissapointed now and wanna quit game after 10 days because mobs dont drop carrots at all.Its not easy for him to kill even 85 lvl mobs.....think about it.

But i want tell you something honestly - You guys kill the last event in that game where ordinary ppl (with salary like 300 Euro per month) can make some adena when they invest just there time.

@ NCsoft You had stated that you didn't expect changes to the event and mostly only the rewards. The previous event you had the option of purchasing several different appearances with the event. Those were not rewards. You had to essentially exchange you real world money for an in game item to then use to purchase the appearance that was guaranteed. There was not a chance of getting something else. Why are the old appearances not included with the event?
This seems to be, at least in part, an OK example of what these events should be. And what they used be, when the game was still somewhat respectable. An additional activity that gives you a chance at gaining something by playing the game ( they screwed up this key "by playing the game" part ), without easily handing out the most powerful items in the game.
Tho you still had to completely screw up, because you actually can't viably participate in the event without buying the items from the L2 Store, or from players who bought them from L2 Store - transferring all the wealth to them.
Instead of being an actual in game activity that would give people an additional reason to play and make their time with the game more rewarding.

as far as i understand, and i think im not alone on this, this is indeed a MAJOR CHANGE to the event. doesnt feel very honest when u guys tell there is basicaly no change, ppl could feel kinda tricked.

if you couldn't run the event properly with decent carrot drops and the galup appearances you shouldn't have run the event at all!!!!!

Somehow it's the Glups that suddenly got problem and got removed, but ofc the NCStore can't been bugged and removed from the event ..... draw your concussions for yourself.

every thread i read in this forum with all the complaints and all the broken issues, i keep waiting to see an administrative response from our assistant producer as to how these things are being addressed by NCSoft.
i continue to be disappointed as these things are never addressed or answered.
where is the player representation for L2? why is NCSoft running broken events and further depleting players' ability to advance in the game?

it's broken, NCSoft. and so are you. you could fix it, you could make the effort to listen to the people who are in the L2 trenches every day pointing out to you what's wrong, but it just doesn't seem to happen.

Hi, I still haven't had an answer so i'll ask again.
Was it intended that the musketeer appearance are not available for this event? It hasn't been available for over a year, and even after appearing in the european server's verion of the event last month, it suddenly disappeared from ours.
Is it planned to be added in the future or has it been decided to just not add it? (or perhaps was it forgotten?)
I'm not that much attached to appearances in game but that's the only armor app i've wanted to get so far, so i'd really like some info about it.
I'm very disappointed. The event does not drop the carrots of the monsters and when you go to the npc exchange there is nothing good. One hour playing and dropped 3 carrots, what a rubbish event.
Its funny how people always call this event a bot event, dev remove carrot drop from mobs to prevent it. now they complain about the no drop ...
in real, we all know that the problem is the dev that didnt fix problem the right way like always.

a very simple solution would be for ncsoft to have a patrolling GM who has parameters to look for and identify and kick and ban bots. the vendor bots selling adena in the towns are *STILL* there. not shouting, not spamming, not sending mail. but they are *STILL* there. why? because ncsoft doesn't care enough to have someone log in for 10 minutes a day, go through the villages, find them, kick them and ban them.
rather than leave the game alone for legitimate players who want, who *NEED* the normal drops, ncsoft chooses to punish the legitimate people to discourage the bots.

3 hours at GC today, 5 carrots. 2 more hours at HB today, 3 more carrots. party of two. that's 4 carrots each in 5 hours. i don't math but even i can figure that one out. i am one of those people who picks up ev-er-y-thing. e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g and in case that somehow got lost on someone, i pick up all drops. everything.
punish the legitimate players to solve bot problems? not the way it should be done NCSoft. that speaks pure laziness and disregard for the real people who play your game.
solution? i think i might have one.
BOYCOTT ALL NCOIN PURCHASES FOR 30 DAYS. EVERYONE STOP FEEDING THE NCSOFT COW!
if everyone who regularly purchases ncoin could go without it for 30 days, we might get some fixes, guys.. if NCSoft had to go without the thousands of dollars in ncoin purchases for 30 days they might take a look at what they're being told. they might pay attention.
sadly, there are too many people who care too much about their own personal status in the game and not enough about the game environment for the entire L2 population. this won't happen, and i know it.

P.S. i think it's possible this is the last Hungry Horse event ever because even NCSoft realizes they can't break it any more than it's already broken.....

Yes, Ncsoft looks like no want give nothing and want get all the money, they know the adiction to this game is really big and they making the profit, this is like a ***/king casino..no adena drop, all good drops with 0'0001% chance no horses during event, tra/sh drop reward pouch, new cloak 1 week ago $$$, kill fishing system where lot of pp spend lot of real money/adena for rod etc etc etc..looks like they want destroy game or who knows..

I understand as: That is, just accept your mouth shut, this is it or nothing, for us NCsoft is perfect, after all, without drop you have to spend all your money on the game. Keep throwing at yours and accept.
So.... the difference btw ppl that can open 1k from it (and gettin nothing), and ppl that want to farm some carrot its really a shame... RARE ITEMS U CAN TAKE!! Yeahh , oppening 3 sacks per week u can take 3 insanity and unstabilize all server market and nc cant earn u EZ money from pixels above u players....

But the real question really is: When will the carrot event start? because until then this is totally false, there is no event, there is sale of masked items of carrots in the game, shame.
