Yes, we know about the controversy of this transformation; all that can be said about it has already been said. While we could not edit the rewards list, we were glad that it ended up being the 'lesser of two weevils.'
No, you don't get it. Having scrolls is a lot better then having a sealbook. A sealbook would've been better then the scrolls when it comes to Anakim transform, since if you have the sealbook you use it one time and you can only use it only after 4 hours again once you've triggered the reuse time. But when you have lots of Anakim scrolls (and I assure you that top clans do have lots of those), you can spam those and do and entire siege or TW in Anakim transform.
I did however got that you can't reedit the rewards, but hey, there is still one week till the event launches, isn't it?

The subscription gifts are only tied to the actual promotional subscription plans. To get on one of the promotional subscription plans, you need to cancel your existing subscription and switch to a promo one. Instructions about this are on the event page.
Suscripcion Gifts are the same if you choose 1 month plan or 3 month plan?
Correct, the gifts are the same no matter what plan you choose. The nice thing about the 3 month plan is that it's a 3+1 plan. (You pay for 3 months but you get 4 months of game time. :))
Other question. Times for this plan is in PST Timezone. Can we choose now this suscription plan to get the suscripction gift?
If I reactivate expired account with game time card, do I get gifts, even tho I was using game time cards earlier before account expired.

Yes and yes. The subscription promos began with today's NCsoft.com maintenance, so yes they are already active. If you aren't currently on a reoccuring subscription, indeed there is no need to cancel. Applying a game time card now means you'll get the rewards. Game time cards for sale in South America are a bit different, and we're looking into whether or not they will apply to the promotions.
All in all, this subscription promotion is very similar to the 7th Anniversary Subscription promotion we did last April. Although the rewards are different, we wrote a FAQ (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=215283) about the topic that you may find useful if you have questions. In the meantime, I'll see about making a new FAQ for the October Bonanza promotions so there is no confusion.

Cancelling and re-applying your credit card will not switch you to one of the Loyalty Subscription plans, so no. I don't know the answer to the question about the message, but the account support team can help you with that if you send them a ticket (https://help.ncsoft.com/app/ask) with your question.

If we paid the 3months lets say, and we deactivate and lose the 3months and re activate for the 1 month recorring we just paid for 4 months at the price of one, which is not fair. The wording in the instruction are not precise and hard to interpret.
Lets say that we have a 6mth recurring plan, do we lose the prepayment when it becomes F2P?

No because you don't get charged until you're paid time or bonus time is up so that's when you'd be charged.

They will just add the new time on back of what time you have already paid for... this is not that complicated and very similar to what has happened before.
The main question is why people should pay more when l2 is goin to be F2P soon (TM). Does NC want to tell us with this "event" that we dont have to expect F2P to happen in less then 4 months? (3month +1 free month subscription yo!)
I was previously on a month by month...just switched it to the 3 + 1 Month Plan.....i.e.$10.00 a month propo ..whatever....
But this makes me think, believe..that for the next 4 months mothing will change with cost per month...i.e. no F2P...so at least no change is subscription model for the next 4 months......I mean what is the point of subscribing for 4 months if things will change to F2P?

The Dynasty weapon you get from the box is the basic Dynasty weapons already in-game: tradable, droppable, etc.

You will only get the gifts if you perform the action of signing up for one of the Loyalty Subscription plans between Oct.12-31. Any subscription you are on right now is not a Loyalty Subscription plan (unless you signed up for the Loyalty on in the last couple hours, when it started). You do have to change your subscription to a promo plan to get the gifts.

The subscription promos were designed to give players incentive to stay subscribed up to when we make the transition to Play Your Way. I'm afraid I cannot give more details about that at this time.
For questions on the subscription plans, I'm working on writing a FAQ that will answer many questions. Once it's finished I'll link you all to it.

Okay whats confusing is when you go to change billing to get the free goods. There isn't a "Loyalty subscription plan", it's the usual payment option screen. Stop calling it that or change the billing options then to fit the promotion. I got people in clan who do not understand what they are supposed to be setting it to. Now I have to explain it's 30 or 60 day time cards, 3+1 month and one month reoccurring plans that get the items.

The nice thing about the 3+1 promo is that you pay for 3 months but you get 4. Otherwise, the rewards for all the Loyalty subscription options are the same.
What about ppl like me I used to pay my accs per year, I have my accs paid till march of 2012.
Regardless of how much time you already have paid up on your account, if you sign-up for/purchase one of the Loyalty sub promos, you will get the gifts. The promo game time will stack onto the existing game time you have on your account. In your case, if you buy the 1 month Loyalty promo, you'll effectively be paid out until April 2012.

It is a valid question and I completely understand the concern over subscribing when Play Your Way is coming. I'm afraid I cannot give you the answer you want at this time. The timeframe for when Play Your Way begins cannot be announced right now, and the list of benefit you might receive for subscribing instead of not are not yet finalized. I'm sorry I can't provide more info now.

I think this Bonanza loyalty resub thing is a good thing. With the coming F2P I expect some goodies to be handed out to us when we're subbed when L2 goes F2P, and I wanted to keep my account active after it's time is up (half November). So I'll just add an other 30-days timecard and I'll get the goodies as well ;-)
here in brasil, are we allowed to use levelup time card to be in this event?
I'm brazilian, but my acc is NA. But I guess that you get your time card from Level Up Games Brasil, and then you add it to your amster account? If so, try to get on your master account -> game account -> lineage 2 -> the promo banner (click on it isntead of apply/buy extra time)
That should lead you to a page where you have to either buy 1 month, add time card or buy 3+1 months.
Maybe you could try addint a 60 days code that you buy from LUG?

if they indeed go f2p , they will probably calculate the left days of paid subsc and give you premium account for X amount of time , depend how much premium acc gonna cost

As Moxie says regarding this matter in a separate thread, we understand why you are concerned and how these are valid questions. If you prefer, hold off on the subscription promotions until we are able to post all the details about Play Your Way, so that you know what's coming.
May be I misread, but I didn't find the info: will the PC point will be always here, or just for event ?
Just for this event. When the Player Commendation Event ends, the whole system will be turned off, meaning the PC points and the NPC functions to use them will be gone.
(I realized I was misinformed about some of the details of acquiring PC Points, I will get the page corrected shortly.)

The items go to the character with the highest level main class, regardless of if you're on a subclass or what level that subclass is.
Most of the items have the description taken from in-game. For those, if it doesn't say that it is tradable via Dimensional Merchant, then it is not. The only item I didn't describe is the Superior Minion Coupons. The coupons themselves can be traded via Dimensional Merchant but otherwise are not tradable/droppable.

Hello Sace, one question is are the Lineage II time cards powered by Fastcard not eligible for the promo? I just bought one and used it and it gave me a message that the card serial code cannot be used as payment. However when I selected my regular subscription the code worked. Here is the pic of the card I used.

A lot of awesome gifts, but please make the vit pots tradable via the dimensional merchant and not assigned to the highest character. There are a lot 85/80/80/80 toons already and people play alts, give a chance to level those toons :-)

Verifying that you are successfully signed up to receive the Loyalty gifts: after signing up, you can contact account support for verification that you're on a promo plan. If you are on one, you will get the gifts.
Thank you Letters and Gifts: all 3 things are sent each of the three weeks. Next Wednesday, October 19, you'll have the 3 potion packs, the supplies pack, and the Dimensional pack. You will receive the same on the following two Wednesdays as well.

I can't personally access account billing systems to see what's happening with the code, so I suggest you send a ticket to the account support team.

if yor serious you see it on your banned account because it is inactive. Also you cant pay for it on your banned account because......well it's banned.
you have to cancel the payment method on the active account (you will not loose the time already paid for) and renew the payment method to one of the promo options.
I dont understand why its so hard for people to understand. I have switched payment option a few times and have never lost the play time already payed for.
this event is introducing us to the point sytem used for micro transactions. I think the way the points are awarded or something simular will be what you get with a premium account. various amount if there are different account levels and pricing, and of coure with free to play you will have either have purchase any points you want or you will get such a little amount you will have to purchase points to keep up. Then again knowing how NcWest works I could be totaly off the mark.
I dought anyone would get any refund for time already paid for. They have never refunded payed time. When they change the payment method if you have payed time left, the account will probably become what ever level the payment method you are on calls and will stay that way unless you cancel that payment method to go to f2p.

Hi as I was reading the gift descriptions I notices some are tradedable with the demensional merchant and some are not. Now if I want a different character to benifit from the gifts how will I be able to do so of he is a lower level!? My old main. Is 80 and my new main is 79. I want them on my 79. How can I get them on the lower level character? It seems the birthday cake box and the soulshot box won't be tradeable between my own chars. Does this mean I have to delvl my higher level? How can I get them on the lower level character? It seems the birthday cake box and the soulshot box won't be tradeable between my own chars. Does this mean I have to delvl my higher level? I would think they are the same seeing nothing is named anything different on the payment screen. Long as you have something selected like it was said on the event page you should be ok

You just need the points,there's no probability. If you turn in for a angel or devil agathon it might be random on which you get,but you will get one or the other,just like the hat and mask. You know NC there's always that fine random part

That char won't be "maxed out" once GoD comes. And the weapon is freely transferrable. And you can crush it for crystals.

The problem with Anakim is how ******* imbalanced it is, not whether they're scrolls or sealbooks.
In fact, if there were only sealbooks, at least we would know that whoever is 2-shotting entire siege forces wouldn't be able to transform again for a while if we're able to cancel his noble and kill him through their auto-pot, auto-heal, auto-rebuff scripts.
However, instead of having a really long cooldown before being able to re-transform into the most broken PoS in this PoS game, even after miraculously cancelling their noble buff and downing the Anakim through all the script ******** that you won't do anything about, all they'll have to do is pop another Anakim scroll, of which they were starting to run low from the first Anakim event reward ****-up, and they're back in business 2-shotting entire command channels!
You actually think that just because they're scrolls, it's not a big problem that you again made Anakim scrolls an event reward? That everyone will be getting a 1/7 chance every day to get?

Just cancel your subscription plan and after that, go to the page with the big red advertisement, click it and choose one of the two payment options and subscribe again, voila, you're on the new plan.

PC Vitality is an item that you can activate when you choose, at which time it gives you the 1 hour buff. I believe that this is considered a reward item, so it won't be removed at the end of the event, but I will double-check and get back to you.

I learned some more about this last night after talking to the billing team; you can either cancel or switch, depending on what kind of plan your account is already on. So if you switched without cancelling, and chose the 1-month or 3+1-month promo plan, you should get the gifts. I've added this information to the FAQ. If you want to make sure that you are properly signed up to receive the gifts, send a ticket (https://help.ncsoft.com/app/ask) to the account support team to have them check.

Correct, the gifts are the same no matter what plan you choose. The nice thing about the 3 month plan is that it's a 3+1 plan. (You pay for 3 months but you get 4 months of game time. :))

Plan or timecard, just like the event page says. :) If you want to use a timecard, just be sure to apply the code to your game account between Oct 12-31. If you want to use a plan, sign up between those dates.

They are buffs that are applied to you as soon as your purchase them.

That is your choice. The cocktail buffs are level one. The buffs you purchase from the NPC vary between levels 2 to 4 from what I've seen. Personally I would say that the purchasable buffs are better than the cocktail, but that is only my opinion.

You can pick the weapon you want. Shadow weapons are assigned "mana points" which tick away the longer you have it equipped. The weapons have 180 mana on each and the mana seems to tick down at 1 per minute. (Unequip it when not fighting to pause the mana expiration.)

Well, the developers designed it to be a solo instance, which says a lot, but beyond that it will vary on player opinion and skill. I'm afraid I cannot answer in more detail.

Event rewards are never removed. The PC Points will not be usuable (to turn in or spend) as the event will removed the points and the NPC's PC Point trade function.
The head accessories are not Dimensional tradable. The cocktails are not tradable. The fireworks are tradable.

Hardly any information has been released regarding the new model NCWest will adopt, inferring that Chronos/Naia will go f2p just because Innova plans to start f2p servers is a pretty big assumption.
Not to mention that you get the same reward items with a 1 month subscription (which you can cancel after the event, without losing your rewards). Allowing players to subscribe for 4 months of game time at their own discretion is hardly "fraud", or a "lie".
If you wish to move to move the new Innova servers, then that is your business, the events NCWest choose to hold will not affect you whatsoever. Asking community managers to reply to posts with slander, which contain pure speculation, and a poor effort at grammar and spelling will do nothing but waste their time.

The text says "random" between the seven possible scrolls. So if it's really random, then it's a 1/7 chance for everyone, once per day.
Assuming 1,000 people per server per day for three weeks:
1,000 players x 1/7 chance for Anakim = 142.86 scrolls per day (rounded to 143) per server.
143 x 21 days = sieges canceled for the next year.
Why would it mean that it has to be exactly same chance for each scroll? When you open chest you have also random chance of getting transformation scroll and still you dont have same ammount of anakims as other transforms...random means random but not necessarily everything with same probability, so stop being hysterical.

My theory is:
Naia phisically will be moved to North America (preparation 4 merge)
Some time later Naia and Chronos will be merged
Innova promote new Free/Payable Accounts like on Russia servers
Innova opens new Western (America&EU) servers with GM shops
Old server (merged Chronos and Naia) will stay as museum for elite

Sace, this event really makes me happy. This is the first event where you WILL GET a weapon. Even if most ppl need s80, this can still help along the way. Its something actually solid and usable that I can keep in the gameworld and it makes me super happy. BUT I'll just be irresponsible and push the car alignment back two weeks instead of doing it monday. YAY for Nc encouraging me to be irresponsible! I'm also happy with the commendation event because it contains hats, but not GOOD hats. I want better hats.... -.-

It's not a conspiracy theory, rather it's a marketing strategy. How foolish can you be to think that the people who make the decisions are still waiting for clarification on the decisions they make? You can't expect me to believe that the producer, moxie, is in the dark about the project that s/he is in charge? That's just silly. What would make more sense is that they are releasing information slowly so it's easier to digest, rather than show us the entire cash shop model which would enrage the majority of players. This is fine, but they don't need to lie and mislead us about it. If they have any kind of professional integrity, they should have a very clear internal calender already done. Why not provide us with a public one? It doesn't have to be entirely accurate. Just something concrete that we can discuss instead of speculate about. Instead, they stealth edit the goddess page, give vague answers here, and just add more fuel to the fire with "soon". "SOON" is not a time frame. It's a child's nonsense word. There is still GoD, they increase the lvl cap to 99. I can see birthday boxes helping alot in reaching the new cap.

i dont if it working but last 7 aniversary event i was with my main toon with sub and my secondary character was got the event item if you want you can try to change you main to sub and get the item with your secondary character

That has happened in the past for sure... not by design ofc.
Why would it mean that it has to be exactly same chance for each scroll? When you open chest you have also random chance of getting transformation scroll and still you dont have same ammount of anakims as other transforms...random means random but not necessarily everything with same probability, so stop being hysterical.
If you have a lower chance of getting one item over another, then it wouldn't exactly be "random," would it?
What you're trying to do is compare the probability of getting any other possible scroll or item that could come from a treasure chest to the probability of getting an anakim scroll.
Let's assume that you could only get one out of seven scrolls (Anakim, Zaken, Demon Prince, Kechi, Ranku, Gordon, or Venom transformation scroll) from a given treasure chest.
What you're trying to do is say that getting an anakim scroll is less likely than getting any of the other scrolls because while you only have a 1/7 chance of getting an Anakim scroll, you have a 6/7 chance of getting any of the other scrolls, and that means that you have a lower chance of getting an Anakim scroll over any of the other scrolls.
But, that's logically false.
While it's true that there's a 6/7 chance of getting a scroll other than an Anakim scroll, it's similarly true that you have a 6/7 chance of getting a scroll other than a Zaken scroll, or a Demon Prince scroll, or a Ranku scroll, etc.
Similarly, you have a 1/7 chance of getting an Anakim scroll, or a Zaken scroll, or a Demon Prince scroll, or a Ranku scroll, etc.
Basically, just because there are other possibilities for rewards does not reduce the probability that you'll get a given reward if it's truly "random," as the event text says - it means that you're just as likely to get an Anakim scroll as you're likely to get any of the other 6 scrolls.
If the list of possible rewards from the 120 minute box included much more than just the 7 scrolls (effectively changing the formula to 1/x odds per day, where x is something much larger than 7), then that would lower the odds that each person would get an Anakim scroll, as the odds for getting any single, specific reward would go down as a result of the increase in the number of rewards.
But, as it stands now, and if it's truly "random" as the event text explicitly says, everyone will have a 1/7 chance every day for three weeks to get an Anakim scroll as long as they're logged in for at least 120 minutes each day.
After 120 minutes, receive 1 PC Transformation Scroll Box: A box that gives an Anakim, Zaken, Demon Prince, Kechi, Ranku, Gordon, or Venom transformation scroll at random.
And you're also comparing treasure chests regularly found in-game to those of the event, which have their own "drop properties" and are completely unrelated to these event boxes.

It's an official event write-up. If it weren't really random, then it would not say "random," but rather "a chance for" or something similar.
And while NCSoft has made several errors in their communications recently, each one has been fixed as soon as the mistake was discovered.
This particular piece of the announcement has been cited, dissected and questions about it have been replied to since the event's unveiling. If there were a mistake there, they would have fixed it already.
But, it never hurts to get confirmation, if only to finally settle this mind-bogglingly ridiculous debate rather than basing the discussion on the professionalism of this company (lol) to mean what it communicates:

You have to remember that "long term" would necessitate a sample size and time span much larger than the server populations and this event, respectively, will allow.

If you're saying that there's an element of luck whether or not a given person will end up with an Anakim scroll on a given day of the event, that's a no-brainer.
However, it's a far cry to say that this element of luck will be so pervasive and significant over enough time with a big enough sample size so as to override true random occurrence beyond a reasonable margin of error.
The sample size and duration of the event aren't large enough to have a true testing of whether or not the end distribution accurately reflects true random odds for the scrolls - we may get really strange distribution results.
However, that is not enough to say that having Anakim scrolls as an event reward with true random odds of getting them within a small pool of potential rewards isn't a bad thing - we may get "lucky" this time around, but what about the next time and the next time after that?
Sooner or later, our "luck" will run out and the distribution will get stacked in the wrong direction.

NC West has done nothing wrong in my eyes. Id rather stay offical than trasfer my toon to a server thats instantly going to devalue and depreciate all my hard work.
86 would be the equivalent of around 65-70 on the new server with the XP rate at say minimum x2. Id rather reroll and start all over if i wanted to play the new server
Just in case somebody should not be aware of it, with the exception of Pet Shield and Windwalk the buffs of the Turtle Ascetic last 10 or 20 minutes. So you can call it out, let it buff you, and unsummon it again. This will significantly increase its life expectancy :D

Good question. If NCSoft would answer this (Sace, plz?), it would help a lot of us that don't spend hours looking at the boards a day.
I'm just coming back after a break (yes, some ppl do have other commitments for school or work that take them away from the game for weeks or months at a time). Many of us are in the same boat - and I'm guessing this includes many of the players NCSoft hopes to keep or atrract.
Anyone else who has read through all the stuff - if you all have a quick answer (and could point to where Sace or Moxie answered), that'd be helpful too.

You trade the blue elmore coins for reward at mathias in rune. For 40 coins he gives you a box that contains a hat (ladybug, mantis or warriors helmet, did i miss any?) you can also trade for raidboss eggs.

I don't think you can see the time card promo options by clicking on the banner. But, if you add a 30-day or 60-day time card to your Lineage II account between October 12 and October 31, you will get the gifts.
Unfortunately there is no way for players to check if they're signed up to get the gifts. If they've signed up by following the instructions but they're uncertain if they did it right, they can send a ticket to the account support team and ask them to check their account's payment plan status.

If you sign up for the 1-month promo plan, your account will automatically be on a 1-month (non-promo) plan afterwards. If you sign up for the 3+1 promo plan, it will revert you to a regular 3-month plan afterward. So, if you like being on a 1-onth re-occurring plan, you can simply buy the 1-month promo plan and leave it be; you'll continue on a 1-month plan indefinitely.

If you're on re-occurring already, you can just switch it (without canceling and starting again-- the switch option was added to the FAQ later). You do need to make the actual switch to a promo plan within the promo dates (Oct 12 - 31) in order to get the gifts; players on an active subscription that do not actually sign-up for the promo plans will not receive the gifts, as the plan they're on does not include them.

The Superior Minion Coupons will not be usable after the event is over (November 2 maintenance) because the Dimensional Merchant will no longer have that trade option. However, you can trade the coupon to receive the whistle, and the whistle will not be removed when the event is over. The pet lasts 5 hours, which ticks down as his food gauge while summoned. After 5 hours summoned is over, the pet and the whistle disappear. So, yes, you can save the minion for another time as long as you trade the coupon for the whistle before the event is over. :)
Also, please note that the buffs the minions give last about 2 minutes each.

This will all help a lot to get to 85, and get my alts/subs up - and have some fun, now that I can play again. I must say, in over the past 7-1/2 years, this is by far the best promo event ever. It's not perfect, but it will help a LOT of players I think (though not so much for top- end players with tons of resources - but this is not the majority of players).
Thanks for making this so user friendly, answering the questions, and rolling so many events into one extended time period - yet making it relatively easy to understand and implement. That could not have been easy - we appreciate all of the hard work!

As long as you put yourself on a promo plan between October 12-31, you will get the gifts. If you're on a normal re-occurring plan and you renew to the same, that is not a promo plan, so you will not get the gifts.
No game time is wasted or lost. Game time is added up on your account so that you eventually play all the time you have paid for, be it a subscription plan or game time card. You can switch to a promo plan or add a 30-day or 60-day game time card to your account while you are already playing on time you purchased previously: you will get the gifts, and you'll have more game time before you need to pay again.

The Lineage II Devotee Scrolls are tradable. Another player answered about the Blue Elmore Coins; they already exist in-game and you can trade them in Rune for various items.

Yes, you get both rewards. If you play 20 hours, you'll get the first reward. If you keep playing and make it to 30 hours, you'll get the second reward as well.

You will not get multiple rewards if you're online for more than 60 hours in a week. You do not need to play 20 or 30 hours consecutively! :) We're only looking for the total playtime per character each week.
I dunno if anyone asked this sace but, i bought a 2 month time card the 11 of october, so, i don't get the item from the event right?
The subscription promotion did not begin until the NCsoft.com maintenance on October 12 (Pacific Time USA). So anything done to an account before then will not be on a promo plan, and the player will not receive the gifts. In order to get the gifts, you would need to add another game time card (30-day or 60-day) or sign up for the 1-month or 3+1-month promo plan between October 12 and October 31 (between NCsoft.com maintenances).

Well last week i added 1 GTC from levelup to my account - of course using promo banner - and the billing support said I'm NOT subscribed to event.
I replied saying that i bought after maintenance, during event week and following promo instructions. Then they said that will investigate what happend and i should have a feeback on last saturday :PPP nothing atm.

Well, I will have uses for all those Vit Pots you will distribute until November... in GoD I'll be able to level subs at light speed, thanks to them. Maybe I could hit 85 with just one month of GoD? ^^
