The new mastery also adds a bonus for the light armor, but I guess you chose it because that way you had both more casting speed and p.def than wearing a robe, which, at the same time, NCSoft qualified as a mistake.

In the last months I have used a buyshop to buy arround 250 Large RSS Packs and they are totally useless now as I am a mage. I bought them to resell or give to my friends, now you waste me about 400 MILLION adena and they are forced to rot in the warehouse.

windows might see it as a new program and now allow new installation or modification to the firewall if you are not admin on your own machine.
The problem allot of people may be experiencing with Pando is there Antivirus/spyware or other blocking programs are preventing it from working as it none to allot as crapware.

A new bullet point was added to the maintenance notice. For security reasons, it was not possible to announce it prior to the server maintenance.

For example before maintenance I saw people selling 76 to 85 in 6 hours for adena.

You bought equipment to use something which obviously (to anybody with common sense) was not intended by the devs (nobody can tell me he actually BELIEVED that light armor was INTENDED to give more casting speed than robes...). Now the fun time is over, go sell your light armor and be happy you had a few weeks of exploiting a game flaw. But don't expect any compensation lol

To ameliorate the issue of RMT/Adena spam in-game, chat restrictions have been applied to the game. The chat channels "All," "Shout" and "Trade" are now restricted to characters level 20 or higher. "Whisper" is possible but a future maintenance should make it so that it is only possible in reply form. This change is meant to be temporary and it may be altered or removed in the future.
Unfortunately , this will hardly affect the RMT spammers. Since getting to level 20 can be done within an hour or less.
An auto system to detect www.whatever sites, used to peddle this stuff, should be used to scan all public chats, intelligently and logically, and filtered. As well as auto booted and banned.

Not really, they sell the lvling for adena and you have to follow their party in game. If you go to Lower GC on Shillen you will see a guy botting doing that all day long.
So in the end the ip never changes because it is always the player using it.

You ****** off 99% of the players there and moreover magmeld lagged too because of the stupid event, abut 5h a day constant item lag. they got rid of the test server when they fired moxie in october.

it has nothing to do with mentors being logged in. chronos was just up for 10min but without NPCs. tons of mentors logged in. the second NPCs were spawned, the server crashed. so it obviously has something to do with the NPC table relaying to the server itself. faulty coding.

Registered to help you guys out. I was getting the same error so I will post what worked for me.
Make sure you have ports 80 443 563 and 56056 enabled.
I use comodo firewall:
Network Security Policy >> Port Sets (tab) >> add new port >> single port >> enter ports listed above if not shown
after i did this the next time i was prompt for pando it installed and i was able to update client and load client.

WTF? I did buy these with overnight buy-shop and sell with sell-shop or thru AH to make some money, no RTM involved (for me), only IG currency. Now I am sitting on 200 packs that I dont need and cannot sell, not even to NPC. Nice. Not.

Really? You already pinpointed the problem? Are you a dev for ncsoft?
Sit down, I bet you know little, if anything, about coding. The only thing you did have correct was it has a NPC server issue. The specific issue with it, has yet to be announced, and probably never will be.
I have sucessefully solved this stupid Error 0. Looks like sometimes this pando junk cannot find proper path to the "Progam Files" folder. Then it installs themself somewhere in the LocalData but writes incomplete paths into the registry. In the result you cannot uninstall it from control panel. And cannot install it again because installer complains about already installed version.
You have to find PMBInst.exe somewhere into your disk C:, then you will have folder named "null" near. Go deeper there till you find uninstall.exe and run it, it uninstalls pando.
Then copy PMBInst.exe to the c:\! (make the folder first) and run it manually (best as admin).
Also read pando FAQ it describes how to stop it and how to configure upload bandwidth.

Oddly enough today EVe has little in the way of RMTers now but Lineage2 is so bad you cannot even use shout in any town zone. I fully expect them to continue to double down on the fail at this point..

1. the servers are still not up/open to us even though it says up.
2. The server/game is lagging. Earlier this week you would click wait 5 min to get to the character screen click a character wait another 5 for it change to the loading screen, and then another 5 min to actually get in the game lol.

- the measures won't stop bots to sell their stuff
- the crashes are caused by the NPC server
- an unwanted third party soft was uncalled and unnecessary, but smart players will get their way around
- don't try to fix something that isn't broken (see previous point)
- the move should've been to a fresh new server not to an already "heavy" one.
- the maintenance schedule will never be respected

im running win7 64bit and had no problems installing pando my PC is up to date on all updates and i clean my registry regularly what does that say about what you do on your PC ?

i find it quite hilarious that people are talking about RMT when you can legally purchase game changing items from NCsoft.
i also find it funny that half the people complaining are from private servers, which were 100% against the rules before the game went to free to play.

The chat limit is not a bad idea, but I'm betting on raging lowbies right after patch.
stand by for party room sale shops. i guess this is a good hands off way for gm's to 'silence' lvl 1 adena sellers, but this is still a pretty lazy fix. besides, this way, no gm will have to waste their time actually logging in and banning these people.
Some people just need to understand that doing a maintenance is NOT like installing Windows updates and restarting your computer. It is a very sophisticated system and have a brain.

The main difference I see with Coh vs Lineage is that with COH ncwest has more control versus Lineage where someone else confirmed previously NCwest has to get approval for something etc from NCsoft korea.
Maybe NCsoft korea doesn't care anymore and ncwest is screwed in the middle lol.

Hopefully NC Soft will be good enough to show their faith in the users with a pretty 2x event or even a free XP item to all of us being damaged for this maintenance.
If you see that server status is "Light" and you can`t login it means that technical stuff is on this server and they are checking some things in order for everything to work as it supposed to work

thanks for an update, just got ingame, had ss/mailbox/pots lag initially, but now all seems to be good. also experienced about a 20-30 second delay on server select screen and same on character select screen. im sure you know this, but just putting it out there.

the log in lag is cause every player is trying to log in at same time
On Shilen, Magmeld and Bartz, Tersi's Light Agathions are removed from the game, the Priest of Blessing no longer gives Tersi's Light Agathions, and the Tersi's Light (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/events/tersis-light.php) event enters its final stage in which Fragments of Light no longer drop from monsters. Remaining Specters of Light and Fragments of Light may still be used. Remember, Specters of Light may still evolve even if no Fragments of Light are pushed into it; rewards can be obtained from the Specter of Light without using the agathion.
So I guess we have another bug on the server now as it still gives out the aghation items.

people get mad when servers are down due to crashing, or elongated maintenance.
about Light armor for healers, it's been a long time coming.
healer in light armor have really high cast speed for no reason.
you don't get gimp now, you just get normalized.
you don't need to get rid of light armor, your cast speed won't drop that much for the increased p.def. heavy is also a good option, especially since the cast speed isn't penalized as much as it used to be.
other classes keeping old skills instead of taking new ones.
they made a decision to keep a skill rather than take a new one.
but each skill gives up something which could be useful.
so it's not like armor mastery which is not useful...
it's like a toggle where you could have a buff, or give up a little m.attack for some m.def. give up summoning a helpful cubic for some other properties.
in most cases these skills might still be learned later on when they improve.
while something like armor mastery...
would never be learned because it never improves.
NC just realized they had an oversight, and have made a decision to fix it.
i'm sorry for your loss, but they fix things a lot, and usually for the better.

i'm currently not playing the game because i don't like having to download a program i have never heard of before so i can play a game i've been playing since the open beta tests.
this is not the same as "NC Launcher"
it's a Third party program, unrelated otherwise to NCsoft.
let me know when they change their minds and we don't have to download this third party program.

That is the standard method which we did today, and it was all working correctly until the unexpected server instability issues occurred. Server stability takes precedence over applying bug fixes, so now that the servers are stable once again, we are looking into the matter of some maintenance changes that had to be edited in favor of server stability.
No, cause the event is ongoing. You can have drops from specters without using fragments. But the only rewards youll get will be buff scrolls, brez, bsoe and elixir.
On a side note i believe that the whole event is the reason of all the problems /item lag, bot abuse, missing npcs/ and NCSoft don't want to admit it. Anyway the best we can do is wait for the event to end. Everything will be fine then.

it doesnt matter, wizard spirit is better than arcane power, even better at higher lvl. i never had empowering echo but it should be traded for something better at higher lvl, hopefully. the damage/debuff skills, good luck landing those on lvl 95+
about fixing light armor mastery, i must say, ahahaha. you have no room to complain, it was a bug and you knew it will be fixed. even on my healer sub i never intended to get light armor when i hit r-grade, seems like the right choice.
Wizard spirit - 30 sec buff with 3 min reuse. Arcana power + empowering echo - constant bonus (and actually give much more that wizard spirit).
Cyclone/RagingWaves/Vulkano/Gehena still make nice damage (no reason to change them for useles death syphon skill).
Day of Doom have 100% land rate on awaken toons.
Healers/Mages/Summoners still have old robe mastery and can OE it for m.def (+5...10% m.def is good)
Blazing/Freezing skin makes very nice reflect damage and can be OE'ed to increase reflect %.
There is a lot of examples when old skill pwnz.
You think that healers will use robe now? No way ... heavy is right answer.
Sorry for russian language (screenshot taken from l2.ru). But you can see that kamael healer in full heavy set with knight harmony and standard buff have almost cap of cast speed. And just imagine that healer can have in party ex-BD/SwS enchanter who keep d/s. So his m.atk, cast speed, m.def will be much more that on screenshot.

Yea, my event item's was removed but in giran(chronos server) i still can see some tersi's agathion's summoned..............

I don't think that's the event's fault since in Naia were applied the same event conditions applied to Chronos and there's no item lag at all.

Game is running after maintenance but i have a "small" problem ...
5/6 chars of my account (same account) can log in without problems but the main char crash the client on attempts ...
Tried file check and restart pc/client and nothing , still main char crashing on log in and alts running fine .

These+ 15 weapons probably bought 8 of these packs which i believe included S grade soul shots. What are them people to do with all them? These people paying bills for ncsoft now and look what they get. Atleast make them sellable to shop. I agree however the destruction scroll should be untradeable if someone to spend$ 400 U.S. to increase there gameplay then that's up to them but don't let them be selling them for fast adena. .i really doubt anyone really buying these packs just to sell soul shots.
So what about the people buying the packs for the EWR destructions and enchanting blessed apoc weapons and selling them for lots of adena (would be way more efficient than buying packs for shots to sell).

I kind of hated the fact that I did buy like 2 packs and there's items in it I didn't need,but could sell. Some us paid for game time in advance and rather than getting refunded we got Ncoin credited to our accounts. I for one would have liked my money back not ncoins. Well i hate to say i told ya so NC...but i did....there they are again and it didnt even take 1 day....the adena spammers are still in game....i just knew it was too good to be true....well like the old saying goes...believe half of what ya hear and nothing what ya see.....better luck next time....i will say this tho as a somehwat of an "Atta Boy"....lag down and shots working again.....ill give ya half a pat on the back. As for the STS skills you keep or turn in for new ones, I do not believe that is a bug. The new skills are both skills that lower your mp usage, and the old ones increase the mp usage. Seems like a fair trade off.

That was not game design.
Game design was for you to replace old skills with new skills meaning you could keep certain old skills if you wanted.
The bug was the fact that light armor mastery was supposed to be deleted, and since it was not deleted it didn't work as it was intended to work because "Magician's Movement" was deleted upon awakening which lowers your casting speed by 50% with light armor.
So having one without the other is a "bug" or possibly an oversight. (Either way it needed to be fixed)
Those other skills you talk about are still there because they are game design. You give up old skills for new skills. In some cases the old skills are better than the new ones, but that doesn't make that a bug. lol
Did the level 20 to even be able to chat get implemented? What a naive idea to stop the RMT spam. Like it takes more than 5 minutes to get to level 20. =P You're only hurting the possibility of an actual new player having an enjoyable first impression because he or she cannot ask basic questions and won't know how to pm.
Healer Superior Armor Mastery still isn't worth learning btw. Enchant your old Robe Mastery for +% M.Def. instead and you'll get better stats in the end. However unlike the Light Armor thing, this is hardly broken or overpowered.

I hate my class, soulshots lag too much to play my main, ncsoft supports pay to win, they implement a mandatory bandwidth sucker that probably allows people to sniff my IP and **** my account, etc. I'm running out of motivation here. My QQ cancer is taking over!

I do agree with you PMB sucks but lets not overreact here :). PMB is only used for updates. Once you update the game you can uninstall it. It will work perfectly fine. PMB is not a mandatory tool to PLAY the game, it is mandatory to keep your game UP TO DATE. The game runs very nice without it.

It's going to hurt anyone who doesn't know how to deal with it. I do have it blocked with my firewall in case of it being belligerent @ uninstall and I uninstalled it. This is less about "I got mine, screw the rest" and more about the fact that it happened in the first place for me.
It's peer2peer, so your IP can be located by hackers/crackers with the necessary tools. Not everyone's internet setup is secure, so I think there will be issues with this. Then again, so is positing on non-official L2 forums or even just clicking a random L2 quest website you never heard of with google search. Apparently a lot of the hacking incidents floating around at the moment are because of the path to awakening website, or so the rumors go.
As for Bartz i hope there will be a chance to migrate to other server, maybe with GMT +1, as for other things im thinking about leaving ncwest and start to play on servers managed by Russians, they disabled Mentoring system to promote XP Runes, but they dont sell DEWRs (till now). It looks like they are better than ncwest.
funny thing, maybe it is time to leave Lineage 2 and move to something better.
As for PMB it is Torrent based so there are Zillions of tools to mess up with this kind of software...

I bought it for ADENA and want sell it for ADENA why i have to be punished for something that i dont do? The sellers dont trade the adena, so to trace down transfers will be hard :). Most use shops/ drop adena

On a serious note though, the service has been bad recently and the compensation is a little underwhelming.
If anything, the influx of new players has highlighted the need for a working anti-bot system and potentially upgraded server hardware.

In the beginning there is not so many lag, and then the tersi event comes, and with it lag, a little lag, to a enormous, unplayable lag, no way game master, shut shiilen down, tell us the truth, money problem? nc soft trying to end the game? will back to be paid, to many problems in truly free? too many players? i talking with friends, entered a strong clan of some donators, with this lag on shillien server, they will not stay, the way you are doing things, desrespect players, you are losing money, and our belief, this lag is absurd, i dont know if it is only on shillien, but is too great. I see a dark future coming.
If I could figure out how to play EVE I would. Seriously. Work a 12hr day to come home and play L2 for a few relaxing hours. This just gets me more upset.
